SPECTRE SIGHTINGS APPEAR TO PEAK, HALLOWEEN LOOKS SPOOKY

As Halloween gets closer, the ongoing sightings of spectres in the dream world appear to be peaking as reports incoming to the DPF are “cooling down,” according to the DPU.
The Dimension Patrol Unit, the DPF branch in charge of receiving reports, says that they’ve seen a 42% drop in spectre sightings in the past week. DPU chief Matias says that it’s possible that if someone was resurrecting spirits then they are likely no longer resurrecting any more spirits. Most sightings being reported now are also likely repeat sightings of the same spectre in the same dimension or area.
“Yes I do think that sightings are easing and any remaining spectre sightings are likely repeats,” the DPU chief said in a statement, “Though of course we ask the public to continue sending in reports.”
Elsewhere, Halloween appears to be looking free of anything significant that could hinder plans. The weather service says weather across the majority of the dream world for Halloween will be dark, foggy, with some rumbles of thunder.
“As we usually see every year, Halloween is looking to be like your typical ‘dark and stormy’ night,” Cirrus of the DWPS says, “So don’t worry about it being bad out there. It looks spooky for sure!”
Many dream world residents are already beginning to prepare to trick-or-treat across different areas of the dream world.
“Yes, I’m already picking out a costume…hmm, superhero or supervillain…I can’t decide!” one resident tells me.
“Call me crazy, but I kind of want to dress up as a watermelon,” a local dog anthropomorph tells me, “Watermelon is so good. I wanna dress up as one.”
“Me? Pick a costume? Please! I just have to pick my best outfit and call it a day,” a local vampire tells me, “Look at me! I’m a vampire for Morpheus’ sake! I don’t need to dress up in a costume!”

DPF REPORTEDLY PLANNING MISSION ON HALLOWEEN INTO QUARTIER FANTÔME

It looks like the Dimension Protection Force is going ahead with a mission into the elusive Quartier Fantôme after all. That’s according to a new leak obtained by the Tribune.
While the DPF hasn’t publicly stated anything about any sort of mission going into the Quartier Fantôme, it has been speculated in previous weeks that something might arise. While discussions have been going on for a few weeks now with no progress, it appears that things might actually be happening.
According to the leak, the DPF convened once again in secret to discuss a potential mission into the Quartier Fantôme. After weeks of hesitation, it looks like something is scheduled for Halloween. The leak mentions that none of the “Big Six” chiefs were enthusiastic about heading into the Quartier Fantôme since none of them have authority in it, but only one was willing to go.
While not confirmed just yet, Rescue Operations Team Unit Leader Finnegan is reportedly volunteering to head into the Quartier Fantôme in a secret mission to investigate the matter. Leader Finnegan was previously seen to have been involved during last year’s Holiday incident where the whole dream world was deemed “naughty.” It appears as if he is going to be the one heading into the region and trying to figure out what’s going on.
We reached out to the ROTU for comment, but only received a response from the recruit unit’s head instructor, Eliazar, about this matter.
“As far as I know, Finn has not said a thing to me about any sort of mission into the Quartier Fantôme at this time,” he says, “And I sure hope he isn’t serious about it either if true.”
The mission is reportedly scheduled for October 31. The DPF will likely address this once the day comes or afterwards.

Hello Rob! Um, yeah? Doesn't everyone steal every now and then? Look, I've always said: when there's no cops around, anything is legal! Of course, I tend to go for more inexpensive items. Maybe some fruits, or a cute marigold or two, or even a skull- FAKE, of course. I mean, what is the DPF gonna do? Arrest a handsome and charming man like me? Don't think so!!

Hello Ray! Gee, it's awesome! A lot of people think it's "weird" or "strange" or "bizarre" for there to be people who raise the spirits of the dead. Some necromancers do it for bad intentions, and no offense to them, but that's now what it's about! I like helping people reach out to friends and loved ones who have passed away and for them to get a chance to speak again! I have regular customers who come for my services and it's always nice to see them talk to those who passed. Of course, before raising ANY spirit, you MUST bless the tombstone. If not…well, it won't end well!
Dear Almoral, what do you plan to do for Halloween?

Hello Haul! Honestly, if I don't get any other plans, I'll be out getting candy! I'll also be looking out for any spirits out in the dream world. Spirits tend to be sighted more frequently during October, but not necessarily on Halloween. Halloween is one of the few times of the year where spirits in the dream world ascend to the real world. Halloween, and of course, Día de Muertos- the Day of the Dead! This year though, it looks like there's a lot of lost spirits in the dream world. Someone's been resurrecting them recklessly and whoever it is, they better hope they don't run into me!
Dear Almoral, have you ever been to the Quartier Fantôme?

Hello Fanny! Yes and multiple times too! You've probably heard that it's not illegal to visit the Quarter Fantôme, but it is a little tricky to get there.
Only those who know the special, secret entrances to access the Quartier will be able to actually visit it. And wouldn't you know, of course I know of an entrance! Actually, I didn't know of an entrance prior to meeting Lucid. He's the one who told me the location of one and it's the only one I know of so far!
The Quartier Fantôme is a big region and there's many places to check out! I recommend visiting the central area as there's lots of shops and cafes to check out! The residents here won't look at you weird, not as long as you don't disrespect them. I mean come on, you're not just gonna go in there and act like a fool, are you?
During the times I go visit, I check up on some friends I've made! I go drink at some bars and tell stories of the dream world. In return, they tell me stories of the real world! I have also bumped into some famous celebrities down there! If you ever visit on Halloween, you are definitely going to want to see the one and only Michael Jackson performing his greatest hits…including Thriller! Yes I have his autograph, in case you're wondering.
Other than that, the region is pretty nice! Don't let your fear of death or spirits get to you. You might honestly make a friend or two if you go visit one day! Hmm, maybe I'll go visit soon? I wonder what will await me!
