An employee at Biz Mart. Sid has been working longer than anyone else has at the remote store. He has devoted his time to work the night shift since other employees aren't up to taking that position. Sid knows the store from top to bottom and is always aware of what needs to be done. While others have expressed concerns about weird and strange happenings around the store, Sid reassures them that they are merely hallucinations and have directed them to see a doctor. While Sid is not the manager of the store, he does act like it, often telling employees and customers alike of areas that are "off-limits" in the store as well as putting others in charge of chores. The real manager is on a "long vacation" and still expects the store to be in tip top shape. Sid is aware this is a lie and that the hallucinations that others see are actually real, but he knows more than he lets off...
More about Sid:
About Biz Mart:
The store was built in 1966 and has been around since. It's certainly strange to have a convenience store out in the middle of nowhere. Still, business is typically slow no matter the time of day. I'm not sure why anyone would want to work here. I'm only here because it's the only job I like and it's not like I have anywhere else to go. Heh, it's sad almost...
About the area:
This peculiar area of Lake County is a lot of forest and lakes. Down the road is Lake Nathaniel and the nearest town is about five to six miles away. People have long reported strange things in this area, but I have yet to see anything of the sort. I think people are just tired or seeing hallucinations. I haven't seen spooky lights, strange creatures, ghosts, UFOs, or even "cat people" here. It's just a lot of superstition. That's it.
About the manager:
The manager of the store has been on a long vacation. He still checks in by sending letters. I've heard he's a rather wealthy man. I still don't know why he opened up a store here. I have yet to meet him...
About his favorite passtime:
Since shifts are typically slow, I tend to read books to pass time. I might sweep the place, rearrange items on shelves, or do inventory. I don't really leave the exterior of the store unless it's to take out the trash. Is the night shift scary? No, not at all. I'm not scared of anything.
About the missing people:
The local sheriffs tend to stop by and ask about the missing people on the posters behind me. I always tell them that I've never seen those people stop by here. It's crazy to think that someone can be here one second and then disappear the next with no trace whatsoever. Where do they even go missing to? Who knows...
About his office:
My office is off limits to everyone, unless I invite you in. There's nothing in there besides books and a computer used for business. I rarely go in there anyway.
About the fridge:
Do not under any circumstances enter the fridge in the storage room. It's...broken. There's something wrong with it. I've told employees it's off limits until I get it fixed. Only I am allowed to work the fridge.
About the back door:
The back door of the store requires a key to gain access to the exterior. It's imperative that the door remain closed and locked at all times when it's not in use. I can't remember how many times I've had to remind people about this simple fact.
About the spill:
The spill by the broken fridge? Don't worry about it. I'm sure it'll be cleaned up eventually.
