DPF RELEASES INFORMATION ABOUT MAGIC SHOW, COLLISION EVENTS

By: Porter

The Detective Investigation Agency has officially released information regarding the leap day magic show and the recent collision event.

DIA chief, Tsukanai Daiki, has officially finalised his report on both events and publicly released it on the DPF’s official website. The rather lengthy report actually discusses both events in one. Normally, separate events are divided into their own report, but the chief detective decided to combine both in one.

I have gone ahead and read the report in full, but will provide the more relevant details to our readers.

According to the report, it begins detailing the timeline of events for Gia’s quadrennial magic show that took place on February 29. While most of the timeline is known as the Subliminal Tribune was there to cover it in person, details during and after the failed spectacle became publicly known. The chief detective investigated the area around the Stage dimension and noticed several things.

On one of his sensors, he was detecting a dramatic plummet of magic around the Stage. It appeared as if something was used to drain the nearby area of any magic in the air which would explain why Gia’s show began to fall apart. The chief also found footprints around the Stage that were human in nature. Upon taking measurements and other evidence, this was sent to the forensics unit for further examination.

The report then details the events surrounding the near-collision that the dream world and Wonderland almost had with one another. The report details that after a thorough investigation, the very same magic that was stolen from Gia’s magic show, was used to open a rift portal that ultimately led to Wonderland. In doing so, the portal inadvertently began to pull the dream world in the direction of Wonderland.

This means that Wonderland was never on track to collide with us, but rather we were on track to collide with them. The rift portal itself was found to contain traces of magic from February 29 after it was sealed. The report goes on to say that it’s likely the plan was to use enough magic to open a rift portal as portals typically require a generous amount of power. Power can come in many forms, but magic is one of those ways to do so.

After the DFCU finished analysing any evidence found, it was concluded that Francis Robert P. Jackson was indeed the one who stole Gia’s magic and opened up the portal. Forensics proved this to be the case by analysing existing evidence with the DNA samples that were provided to the DPF back in November. While the report concluded what many had suspected all along, chief Daiki admits that he is not entirely sure if Wonderland was the true intentional destination for the portal and what the purpose of the portal was even for.

“I conclude that Francis Robert P. Jackson was the culprit for these two events that have been connected with one another,” the chief wrote, “However, I cannot conclude at this time if the intended destination of the portal was definite nor what purpose the portal served in this plot. This will require separate investigations amidst little leads to work off on.”

The chief detective finishes the report by acknowledging the help that various agencies played in this investigation, but leaves with a stark warning about the future.

“I cannot say for sure what the intentions are for Francis to be opening a portal once again, but I must reiterate that he is a very dangerous figure to be taken seriously,” chief Daiki warned, “We cannot keep delaying any investigation into his plans nor can we sit back and wait until the next plot unravels. I am afraid we may be heading to something much more serious.”

This report was publicly released on the DPF website after it was privately shared with top leaders at the DPF, including Director Ferekides. The Council also received this report prior to public knowledge as an “urgent matter.”

To read the full report, you can visit the DPF’s website and it should be listed on both “recent news” and under the “DIA” sections.

RAIN SHOWERS, FASHION SHOW SOON

By: Oswald

The weather service is sticking with its recent forecast that showers and thunderstorms are expected very soon.

According to the latest weather report, the Dimension Weather Prediction Service is continuing to see widespread rainy weather in its forecast models. They maintain that rainy weather will begin sometime next week and are now monitoring for severe weather.

“We can confirm with the utmost confidence that the dream world will begin to observe rain and thunderstorms next week,” DWPS senior meteorologist Neige says, “Spring got off to a slow start, but the time is soon for rain. Since we’ve confirmed this, we’re now monitoring for any changes that could hint at severe weather.”

Severe weather is common in the spring and can take the form in various ways.

“Thunderstorms can become severe enough in nature that they produce strong, gusty winds, hail, and in rare occasions, a tornado,” Neige says, “While long term models can’t predict this, we’ll be actively monitoring for anything out of the ordinary once the weather shifts.”

While the weather gets ready to shift over to spring, others have their minds elsewhere.

Fashionistas are once again announcing the return of the Cafe’s book room’s fashion show!

Announced earlier this week, organizers in a fashion group announced that their third ever fashion show in the Cafe’s book room will be taking place next week. Rouge, one of the key organizers, is back and they are excited for this particular event.

“Oh we’re all excited about this event. This time around, we’ll be having a lot of new themes for people to dress up to,” Rouge explained, “Of course, we’ll have returning themes, but the focus will be more on the new ones.”

Rouge says that the list of themes will be released this weekend.

“We have them down, but we’ll release them later this weekend,” the fashionista said, “I think people will find a more interesting array of themes this time around. Stay tuned!”

The fashion show is expected to last only one week and will take place in the Cafe’s book room. As for the weather, you can visit the DWPS’ website for the latest weather information and forecasts in your area or any area of the dream world.

Q/A: Ask Lucid

Dear Lucid, do you really hold no hate in your heart?

By: Eyhayt U.

Hello Eyhayt. It is hard for me to hold any true hatred in my heart towards anyone in particular. As much as I feel as I should, I simply cannot hold myself to have any sort of hate in me. A lot may have happened in my life from then until now, but I still believe that being kind is the only way forward. After all, it was one of my mother’s final wishes.

Dear Lucid, could anyone live in the Void?

By: Em Tiness

Greetings Em. From the knowledge that we have, the Void is literally void of life. There is absolutely nothing in there. No food, water, shelter, and no electricity. Life can not exist in the Void and is why no one dares to venture in there in the first place. I must say that anyone who dares visit and decide to live there is certainly a mad person, but such is their decision to do so…

Dear Lucid, would you join the DPF again if you got cleared of your crimes?

By: Cam Bach

Hello Cam. It is still too early for me to decide if I want to join the DPF once again if I am ever cleared of my crimes. My time at the DPF had many ups and downs, but I always enjoyed it. I always wanted to protect the dream world in some way and my tasks there ensured that. Even now, despite all odds, I still want the best for the dream world. It is my home, after all.

Dear Lucid, which hand do you use to write?

By: Penny Cilhold

Hello Penny. I use both of my hands to write. The ability to use both of your hands to write is called being ambidextrous.

Dear Lucid, do you think books should be banned?

By: Bannon D.

Greetings Bannon. As a fellow bookworm and overall book lover, I do not think books should be banned. If there is one thing that I believe should never get censored, it is the book.

Dear Lucid, can you tell us a bit more about Biz Mart?

By: Iguana Nomore

Hello Iguana. Biz Mart? Ah…oh yes. I know what you are talking about. Well, it is an interesting place, really. From the research I have conducted, Biz Mart is located in a remote area of Lake County in the state of Minnesota of the United States. This area is widely condensed with a lot of forest and lakes. The nearest town is about 6 miles away so you are really in the middle of nowhere.

This particular area of the world is the most vortex prone location on the planet which means that something is going on here. I will be honest, I am not sure why this area is prone to a lot of vortices that open and close all the time. Biz Mart is situated on a grand cluster of these vortices so it is definitely a “dream world entrance” hotspot.

Besides that, there are also many strange things around the area that the locals seem both afraid and unbeknownst to them. Strange lights, sounds, and sightings of creatures not from that world. Many brush it off as local superstition, but truthfully, their eyes do not deceive them.

With all of the strange things that happen here, I am not sure if the local, state, or federal government are aware of this particular area’s bizarre behavior. I suppose they are either choosing to ignore it or are not aware yet. I should probably stop by and check the place out again soon…
