Dimension Protection Force
Office of the chief of the Detective Investigation Agency
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 25, 2025
In light of recent events, I have been in discussions with the Council, the Director of the Dimension Protection Force, chiefs at the DPF, and close employees within the DIA.
When I made the decision to drop all of Lucid’s charges, it was not easy. I am fully aware of the repercussions that this has and may bring to the DPF, the DIA, and to myself. I have been persuaded to reimpose these charges because we are told that Lucid is out for vengeance against our world for the way we treated him. I am not doubting Lucid’s power or abilities, but I am doubting the idea that he is out to get all of us.
The events I witnessed in November during Operation Blackout were extraordinary. Lucid put his life before any of ours and managed to prevent a great tragedy. Someone who is seemingly out for vengance would not do such a thing. This is not nor has it been something that Lucid would do. As someone who worked in the same agency as him for many years, I can say that he is a great, respectable, and talented figure that would not ever turn his back on anyone- or at least the dream world as a whole. This, I believe.
I write this letter to stand firm with my decision. I will not be reimposing any charges on Lucid that have been dropped. I have spoken with the Director, the Council, and fellow chiefs on this decision and now affirm it as so. I now will not ask for a pardon for Lucid, but will leave it as such. The DIA will proceed forward with bigger and more important priorities. The time now is to give Lucid a second chance and a new opportunity in his life. I am not sure where the road will go from here, but I ask the public to believe in second chances and allow Lucid to live the life he must resume living that was taken from him for nearly a century.
