CAL’S PUMPKINS OPEN FOR BUSINESS AGAIN

According to dream world nostalogists, the Patch Dimension has officially re-manifested itself, which means Cal’s Pumpkins is open for business once more.

Many entities were seen in the patch, some playing in the autumnal leaves, and some picking out pumpkins themselves. According to nostalgists, this dimension becomes more clearer to come across once enough humans have recollections of it. This dimension still appears to this day, since many humans have experienced pumpkin patches, enough to manifest itself here in the dream world.

“We gotta thank the humans of the real world, they gave us this wonderful dimension!” a local boy said. “It’s quite lovely here. The air is crisp, and the leaves fall gently. Autumn is beautiful.” a local girl stated. While there are various pumpkins to choose from, the biggest one is kept pretty secure.

“Cal is probably out guarding it right now,” Nate of the DPF said, “I’m not sure where he is now, but he is definitely one hundred percent guarding that pumpkin right now. Cal is the owner of his farm, which includes the patch, and he is a very reserved person. I’d be surprised if we bump into him at all!” According to the Tribune, Cal was last seen about six human years ago, when some curious individuals went out into his maze.

“Oh yeah! Cal also owns a maze on his farm land. Curiously enough, I haven’t ventured into it myself, because who knows what lies at the end!” Nate said. When asked where the maze entrance is, Nate shrugged. “The maze entrance usually appears a week after this dimension comes back into view. But, I’m not sure if I would go in it. I’m pretty good at navigating the dream world, but not so much mazes!”

The Patch Dimension will be open to all until mid-November. Visitors are asked to enjoy their visit, but refrain from heading into the maze of corn next week.

ARCADE DIMENSION PORTAL APPEARS

For gamers of all ages, things have just gotten a bit more fun.

The Arcade Dimension portal has been opened, and already are the sounds of arcade machines beeping and buzzing. Some curious people have stumbled into it, but it appears they have lost track of time.

“I’ve been having the best time of my life so far! Pac-Man really brings back memories of my younger days. What day is it again?” said a lost human. Another lost human was seen at the claw machines. “I really want that Teddy Bear plush! I can’t get it, I think this is rigged!” 

While the arcade is fun and all, DPF member, Nate, takes note of the strange environment. “You see, this is one of those dimensions where time doesn’t seem to exist. Other dimensions, it’s easy to distinguish if it’s day or night, but here, you just don’t know! People lose track of time and end up stuck in here for years on end. I mean, they’re welcome to just leave, but the games seem more interesting when you’re trying to aim for the top score!” 

Television entity, Telly, laughs. “Ha! See? I told you that spending too much time in front of a screen is not good! Whether it’s television, a computer, or an arcade machine, it is always peculiar how the glow of a screen traps one’s mind!” 

Visitors are asked to take note of the amount of time they spend playing, and to take necessary breaks when they can.

Q/A: Ask Nate

Dear Nate, how did you and Lucid meet?

Hello Curry! Wow, Lucid! Lucid… he is… definitely an interesting figure. It’s kind of embarrassing how we met, but I’ll still tell the story! 

In my early years of existence, I was quite mischievous. I always found myself in some sort of pickle, and would occasionally get scolded by those who were older than me. Playing pranks on others was always fun, but it also came with dangers. You prank the wrong person, you might pay the price.

This happened to me! I ended up pulling a prank on some sleep paralysis demons and they got really mad. I ended up running for my life because those two demons were after me! I ended up being cornered in an alleyway with no escape. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t terrified! But just as things seemed to be over for me, a figure leaped from the darkness and tackled them down with a large trident. It was so fast! He managed to scare them off into the night and helped me up. 

He introduced himself as Lucid of the Dimension Protection Force, sent out after the headquarters received a distress signal from this dimension. That was when I found myself thankful for being rescued, and got curious to see what the DPF was all about. It was Lucid who got me to join the DPF in the first place!

Since then, it was Lucid who helped me with training, and we became very close. I am very thankful for him because he saved my life. Time has passed since then, but the memories of that night will forever be in my mind! Yes it was a strange first meeting, a bit embarrassing for me, but I wouldn’t be both where I am now and a changed dream demon without him!

Dear Nate, what is your favorite season?

Hi Sol! Ah well, there’s four seasons to choose, and they’re all so pretty in their own ways! 

Spring comes and all the flowers start blooming. It’s also when the Garden Dimension comes and so many people get to frolic through the flowers! While I like this season, it does trigger my allergies, so I think I’ll pass on this one.

Summer is hot! What better way than to head to the Beach Dimension and catch a wave, or sit by the water. This dimension is really relaxing, but I’m not really a big fan of the heat, so I will pass on this one too.

Autumn is so beautiful. The air gets crisp, and the leaves start falling. Not only that, but it’s when things get spooky and when the pumpkins start appearing! Coincidentally, my birthday sometimes falls on the first day of fall, so wink wink!

Winter is another beautiful season. While the trees lose their leaves and look bare, the snow falls and in comes all of the holiday dimensions. I love the cold, and this scarf keeps me comfortable! The only thing I don’t like about winter is how all the flowers go to sleep. Very sad to see!

I guess my favorite season has to be autumn then! There’s nothing more incredible than seeing how the leaves of trees change color and then fall to the ground.  I love it so much!

Upcoming Events:

Now- The Patch Dimension opens: Feel that crisp air brush up on your cheek. Look at those hay bales. And of course, it's pumpkin pickin’ time!

Now- Arcade Dimension appears: The fuzzy floors of this place got me feeling like I’m a kid again. The arcade machines might have you playing for hours on end, but at least the atmosphere is dreamy. 

September 30- Corn Maze 2021: What exactly lies at the end of Cal’s mysterious maze of corn? A door? A trophy? A portal to the void? Shall we find out together?

September 30- New Dimension appears: The prices in this dimension are too good to be true. These items are practically a bargain, a steal! 

October 7- Beach Dimension Returns: This isn’t exactly the same beach we visited in August, is it? It gives me the chills...
