DWPS ASKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO HELP WITH DATA

The Dimension Weather Prediction Service is asking the public to volunteer with data collecting in the following weeks.
According to a press release, the weather agency is asking for volunteers to go out into certain outdoor dimensions and gather weather data to help with future forecasts and models that the agency puts together by analyzing all the data that they receive.
“As you may know, all outdoor dimensions have weather sensors that help report different aspects of the weather in that dimension,” Cirrus explains, “It ranges from temperature, current cloud cover, weather conditions, humidity, wind speed, rainfall rates, and more.”
As time has passed, weather stations have been upgraded and modernized to provide up to date data, but technology can always have errors.
“During the last winter season, some of our weather sensors malfunctioned after excessive snowfall and freezing temperatures, so we had to go out and repair them,” Cirrus tells me, “Spring has passed and we didn’t see any malfunctions anywhere. Now that summer is here, we want to make sure that our instruments are doing okay as we prepare for excessive heat.”
Besides making sure that the instruments are doing okay, the DWPS is also wanting to get readings for how dimensions are holding up this early in the summer season.
“We want to see if dimensions are reporting below-average, average, or above-average conditions this early in the season,” Cirrus says, “This early in the season is a good precursor for what summer could potentially bring this year, so we want enough volunteers to help us gather data so we can be sure things won’t get abnormal.”
The DWPS expects volunteer sign-ups to open next week and anyone is allowed to sign up, just as long as they have a clean record and an interest in meteorology.
“We’d love all the help we can get! We do want things to go smoothly this season after all,” Cirrus says, “The more the merrier, as they say, come join us!”
CAMPFIRE DIMENSION RETURNS AS SUMMER SOLSTICE NEARS

As the summer solstice approaches, the Campfire dimension has returned, and many have flocked to the dimension to get a taste of the atmosphere.
The Campfire dimension is known to appear about twice a year- once during June and once again during October. There have been other brief instances that the dimension appears, but June and October are its longest appearances.
“Yep, that’s true! The Campfire dimension normally comes around during the summer and around Halloween,” Nate explains, “You’re either telling spooky stories around a campfire on a hot night…or you’re telling spooky stories around a campfire on a cool night…it just depends when you visit!”
A few visitors tell me that they plan on camping around the edge of the campfire itself, saying that the woods in the background give ample peace and isolation from the ruckus of the campfire and nearby cabin.
“Camping can be cool,” a local bird person tells me, “I camp all the time when this dimension pops up and the Campfire is pretty great. However, I choose to camp in the nearby woods with friends.”
As the summer solstice approaches, nostalgists are predicting more summertime dimensions to pop up again.
“There’s a few seasonal dimensions that come back during June besides the Campfire. I’d say they’re coming back in a week or so,” Nate says, “Did you know that the Beach actually stays all summer long? It’s pretty cool!”
Nostalgists are predicting a few dimensions to come back next week, including the rumored minimal pool, which seems to be more of a myth than reality.
“There’s a rumor of a strange pool with minimalist design that is said to pop up around summer, but no one could ever really find it. I wouldn’t say it’s lost, but it’s hard to find for some reason,” Nate says, “Maybe we’ll have someone find it this year!”
These summer dimensions are expected to drop next week. Visitors are asked to prepare ahead of time for any delays or possible changing weather conditions.

Dear Lucid, why can’t you just shapeshift into a human in the dream world?

Hello Shay. I am often asked this question by my few remaining friends when I wander out into the dream world. That is true- I can shapeshift into a human form, but there are risks that come with shapeshifting into someone you are not. To put it simply, shapeshifting for extensive periods of time can be draining to me and after a while it exhausts me. I would not want to become drained of power while disguised out in the dream world, and I must take into consideration the DPF’s patrols. Patrolling officers may stop you and ask for any documentation to identify you and if you are not in their system, they will take you in for questioning. I would not want to blow my cover so foolishly this way, so shapeshifting is off the table.
Dear Lucid, are you able to read minds?

Greetings Sai. I am not able to read the thoughts of those around me. I do believe that is a bit strange and intrusive, and I would not like to hear what others around me might have to say about me or others.
Dear Lucid, how is it possible to teleport?

Hello T. Teleporting takes a lot of concentration and practice to be able to achieve it. Let me try to explain it in clear and simple terms; teleporting often involves trying to dig up certain memories of a location that you have been to in the past and trying to redirect yourself to that location. It involves constant training of the mind, patience and heavy concentration. Because our mind can become cluttered with conflicting memories, it is important to focus solely on one specific location. Failure to do so may have you teleport to one of those conflicting memories and not the original destination that your main memory is. You could try to teleport to your bathroom, but if you are not focused enough, you may end up in the basement or even at your favorite restaurant. This takes time to master fully, so do not give up if you ever begin.

Dear Lucid, do you think the Council is trying to hide stuff from the real world to us?

Greetings Senn. I do not think that the Council is trying to occult anything from Reality to those in the dream world. There is much information to read about the real world in the dream world, and there are also historical books that lay out different time periods that humans went through. There is an overall consensus among those in the dream world that humans are very difficult creatures and will likely never live in peace, so everyone in the dream world sees their society as fragile and impossible to compete alongside our society in the dream world. The Council does not have to hide anything if they wish to portray the real world as cruel and disappointing, which humans already do that job for them. There is a saying that “reality is often disappointing,” and the quote is not far off from the expectations of the real world. Plus, such portrayal of the real world is also to stifle anyone’s hopes of ever getting the chance to visit…
Dear Lucid, where were you born?

Greetings Anne. I was born over five thousand years ago in the District dimension. Did you know that the District has been around longer than I have? It is one of the oldest dimensions that have undergone a lot of change since then, of course, it was much smaller back then. To be more specific, I was born in what is now known as the Asia ward.
Dear Lucid, what’s the easiest way to get to the real world?

Hello Curry. If you really wish to visit the real world, your easiest point of access will take you somewhere in the state of Minnesota located in the United States. You will have to likely talk to someone shady with such access to this location in order to actually get there. You will find yourself in a strange little store with limited stock and a strange cashier. I actually know the cashier myself and can say that he is very determined in his job there. The cashier knows a lot of visitors come from the dream world, so do not be surprised if he is not caught off guard. How do I know this? Well, let us say that I am very good friends with him…we are practically one.
