PREPARATIONS UNDERWAY FOR EXCLUSIVE MAGIC SHOW

Sounds of construction can be heard over at the Stage dimension as preparations are underway for Gia's exclusive magic show set to be held in two weeks.
The famed magician is holding her quadrennial magic show on leap day to celebrate the chief of the DPF's Detective Investigation Agency's birthday. Chief Daiki is thrown this party every four years as part of his birthday celebration since it only comes once every four years.
Gia and Daiki are well known friends and Gia is happy to see her friend is turning another year older.
"Technically, he turns a year older each year," Gia once said in an interview, "However, it's funnier to joke and say he only turns a year older on leap day. Haha, how funny is that!"
This year's magic show is expected to be a little different. Gia is aware that the DIA chief will have been running the branch for 100 years this year. Having been confirmed in 1924, it makes Daiki the oldest serving chief of the "Big Six" that remains in his post.
"Daiki is the oldest of the 'Big Six' but he's also the one who's currently the longest serving among them!" Gia said in a recent interview on WDRM, "It's going to be a hundred years since he was confirmed! What a century it's been for him! This year's magic show has to be extra spectacular!"
Gia was asked about what kind of tricks are to be expected but did not want to reveal much. She did say, however, that it won't be like her typical shows.
"If you've ever been to one of my shows, you'll know it's spectacular and grand!" Gia said in the WDRM interview, "Think of the quadrennial magic show as the same, but 10x more spectacular and grand!"
While this magic show is private and only open to a few invitees that the DIA chief invites, Gia says that she is not nervous nor has a problem with a smaller than usual audience.
"Size of the audience doesn't matter!" she said, "What matters is that the show is successful and that Daiki has a great birthday! I'm sure it'll be great!"
Preparations are currently underway at the stage. Please avoid the area as construction workers are currently busy. The magic show is set to be held February 29.
WEATHER SETTLING DOWN ACROSS MUCH OF DREAM WORLD

Winter continues to settle down across the dream world as the last remaining areas of cold air begin to pass the freezing point.
The weather service has been continuing to monitor weather in the dream world following a brutally cold month. Over the past two to three weeks, they have continued to notice a steady increase in temperatures across areas of the dream world that were below freezing for several weeks. Now, winter continues to settle down as the end of the season approaches.
More dimensions have slowly thawed and “defrosted” over the past week and the trend will continue towards the end of the month. The DWPS says that as winter begins to die down, temperatures towards the middle to end of the month will gradually go from cool to temperate.
“Just as we had anticipated, we’re seeing more dimensions go back to ‘normal’ as winter approaches its final weeks,” DWPS meteorologist Neige says, “It’s a remarkable observation to have gone from an extremely cold month in terms of historical standards to a month that’s been pretty much dying down. Winter this year was rough, but it wasn’t necessarily the snow that was the problem.”
The DWPS says it’s still very early to make any forecasts for the spring season, but based on current trends, February is set to end off on a positive note. Temperatures will gradually increase, and while they won’t necessarily be warm in the short term, they will still be fairly temperate with comfortable temperatures and dew points.
“There are still some observations of snow and cold weather, but we expect these areas to transition back into more comfortable temperatures,” Neige says, “We’re grateful to everyone working around the clock at the DWPS across the various offices that help us analyze and interpret data to make these forecasts!”

Dear Lucid, were you ever considered for any big DPF position at some point?

Hello Biggs. Yes I was. In the late 1800’s, I was considered as a possible contender to become the chief of the DIA. I did not want this position though. Instead, I advocated for Sylveran to hold that post if it ever came down to having someone fill that post. This was the only head post I was ever considered for filling at the DPF.
Dear Lucid, how come we don't see you use your powers that much?

Greetings Po. There is a lot of talk about me being very powerful if you happen to ask around. I suppose that is true, but I am not really one to boast about things like that. I tend to not really use my powers to an extent because while they are easy for me to control, there just is not much reason for me to use them to a full extent. Perhaps I may summon an ice cream cone in the summer, teleport myself to another dimension, create a mirage to fool those chasing after me, make the lights flicker in a room and pop a light bulb, freeze time, or perhaps just use telekinesis to bring a book to me for leisure. With great power comes great responsibility, and I choose to be responsible with my own abilities and not let them get a hold of me.
Dear Lucid, which dimension is your favorite and why?

Greetings Rue. There are countless dimensions in the dream world that exist, so it is hard to exactly pick one for a favorite. I would say that The Library dimension is my favorite one. There is nothing more peaceful than to sit in there and read books for hours on end.
Dear Lucid, are you immortal?

Greetings Nev. I have lived a very long life at this point, in fact, I have lost track of my real age, sadly. I am well over 5,500 years old though. Despite this long life, I am still subject to death. I simply do not know when my time will come, but when it does, I can say that I lived a very worthwhile life. My only regret would have been to not have gotten my redemption.
Dear Lucid, what’s that black trident you always carry around with you?

Greetings D. The black trident you see me carrying around was actually given to me when I was in the DPF. All DPF agents own some sort of weapon to defend themselves with. Mine just so happened to be a trident. Of course, my DPF days are over, but I still keep my trident with me.
Dear Lucid, have you preferred working alone?

Hello Indee. For much of my life, I have always preferred to be on my own for a lot of things, including work. Truth be told, this goes back to my early years when I was always excluded from hanging out with the other dream demons because my horns had not grown in yet like theirs did. So, I resorted to simply being on my own for many activities. Even when I got into the DPF, I worked alone and got things done by myself, but being alone was not doing well for my social skills. Director Ferekides of the DPF suggested that I needed a partner and his hopes were for me to open up and become more social with others. He assigned Nate as my partner because Nate was someone who was very open, social, and extroverted that contrasted to my very closed, antisocial and introverted personality. I am going to say that it definitely worked because it made me realize that having someone like Nate around me really helped me open up and become a better person. I still do think the director had other reasons for pairing me with Nate, but I can only speculate.
