MORE DETAILS REVEALED AHEAD OF LEAP DAY MAGIC SHOW

By: Porter

In one week, the largely anticipated- albeit private- exclusive magic show will take place at the Stage dimension.

Construction workers have been working around the clock to prepare everything for the event. Gia herself has been practising in private over the last few weeks. I recently reached out to her once again to try and obtain more information, and she replied back swiftly.

According to Gia, the quadrennial magic show will have five parts to it. Each part of the show will include different themes and will eventually progress to more “exciting” parts. According to the set, she will start off with some of her usual tricks, but they will eventually get more “magical.”

“Oh you know, we gotta warm up the audience with some of the usual tricks,” Gia said in the email response, “Gotta have their attention, y’know? If you don’t have an audience’s attention, you don’t have control over your show! Start off slow and then progress into more exciting and magical tricks!”

When asked if she’s been in recent contact with DIA chief Daiki, she replies that she has and can confirm a few of the attendees that may be in attendance.

“Of course I’ve been in contact with chief detective Tsukanai! This show is for his birthday after all!” Gia replied, “The chief will be attending the show, though I believe he will be inviting a limited audience. That is to say that it will likely be a small audience of maybe a dozen or so guests. I’m not sure who the chief is going to invite, but it might include at least two other chiefs in the DPF’s ‘Big Six’ and perhaps a few more…”

Gia also said that the DIA chief is looking forward to attending the show and expects a “grand” time.

“He said that he’s expecting things to be more magical than usual. After all, I did say that this show is special as it marks Tsukanai’s one hundredth year as chief of the DIA!” Gia replied, “He doesn’t show it visually, but I just know he’s excited deep down!”

The magic show will take place in one week- on February 29th- leap day, and will only be a one-day show. While it will be closed to the general public, details of the event will arrive soon after it takes place

COUNCIL SUMMONS DPF CHIEFS TO DISCUSS DISTRICT WALL SECURITY

By: Roman

In a newly disclosed report by the DPF, it was revealed that the Council of the dream world quietly and secretly summoned several chiefs of the DPF to a private meeting to discuss last month’s incident in the District dimension.

For those who forgot, a large hole was found punctured in the District’s protective wall- the Magnus Murus. The hole was found in the Arctic ward and caused extremely cold air to pour into the rural dream world. The hole itself has since been in the process of being patched up, but several questions remain- including the wall’s effectiveness.

The Council of the dream world issued a summons order to DIA chief Daiki, IAA chief Kamaria, DPU chief Matías, and DFCU chief Vivienne. All four chiefs appeared before the Council last Sunday to be questioned about the ongoing situation, as well as what can be done in the future to prevent something like this from happening again.

“The specifics of the material discussed is confidential,” DIA chief Daiki said, “However, it was a productive meeting with the Council. I believe there will be more meetings in the future to discuss future District security following this event.”

The Magnus Murus has long held against any sort of incident and was built to protect the District from external forces. The incident that took place last month seemingly proved that the District is vulnerable to external forces, but the DPF wants to reassure the public that this was a “one time incident.”

“We don’t think this will happen again,” DFCU chief Vivienne said, “Look, there’s a lot of talk about building a more solid wall. I don’t think we need that. The District will be safe.”

“I think this incident was a one person thing and said person is still out there, unfortunately,” DPU chief Matías said, “However, I ordered additional patrols at all checkpoints into the District, as well as certain areas in and outside of the wall. We have eyes down there to spot anything suspicious.”

“I have ordered agents down into the District- particularly in areas that are close to the wall to provide the IAA with any intelligence pertaining to the incident or future incidents,” IAA chief Kamaria said, “We have eyes and also ears down there. If something comes up, we will know very quickly.”

The chiefs conclude that their meeting with the Council was productive, but additional specific details remain classified under the order of DPF director Ferekides.

“We cannot disclose additional details at this time as Director Ferekides is the one who makes the calls on these types of materials,” chief Daiki said, “Rest assured that the meeting was handled professionally and we will continue to provide the Council and public with information as it becomes known and declassified.”

If you encounter anything suspicious or want to report a crime, please dial *1 on your cellphone or nearest telephone available.

Q/A: Ask Nate

Dear Nate, is it easy to get into the District?

By: Enn Trance

Hi Enn! I love receiving questions about the District because a lot of them are curious! Let me answer this one as well!

As you may already know, the District is the largest dimension of the dream world, and it’s no joke! While it is an artificial dimension- a dimension that wasn’t made naturally- it serves as a home to the grand majority of the dream world. You may have already heard that the District is divided into six wards with various enclaves in them and how there’s a big wall surrounding it, but getting into the District is not necessarily difficult, but there’s a few things to know!

First off, the District’s wall has a few checkpoint gates that allow access in or out of it. These checkpoint gates are managed by patrol officers of the Dimension Patrol Unit. When you arrive at one of these gates, you will be asked to provide some form of identification. Remember, you should always carry some form of identification when traveling in the dream world…this is important! Once they verify you, you will be able to get out or into the District! If you do not have identification on you, you will be asked to step aside and wait for additional assistance before entering. Make sure you have your I.D. ready!

Second, you need to know where you want to enter before you step in. The District is divided into different wards and you want to be sure you’re not going into a ward you don’t need to be in! There are signs outside each gate that tell you what area you’re about to enter. Each ward has a checkpoint gate, but not all enclaves have one. Some more notable gates include entries into the U.S. enclave, the Chinese enclave, the Egyptian enclave, the French enclave, and more!

Third, you may need to prepare to be inspected. Keep in mind that when you present your I.D., the patrol officer will scan it into their system and if something comes up on your record that catches the eye of the officer, you may be asked to be inspected. The inspections are quick and involve searches through your belongings to make sure you aren’t participating in any illegal activity prior to entering the District. Don’t stress this part out though! Inspections are rare and only occur to those with a criminal record. If you don’t have a criminal record, you’ll be fine!

Getting into the District is not hard, but there are definitely some things to remember. I always have to pass through a gate when coming from the rural dream world to go home! The District is not a bad place to live and if you ever want to, I can give you a tour someday. My treat!

Dear Nate, are all places in the dream world directly connected to human memory and nostalgia?

By: Ree Cawl

Hello Ree! You may have heard that the dream world is made up of various dimensions and areas that reflect a good chunk of human memory and nostalgia, but not so fast!

Much of the dream world is quite barren and void of any signs of life. It's either completely bare or just lots of trees like a giant never ending forest. That's not to say that this empty land can be an opportunity for others!

Sometimes, people may prop up their own businesses, homes, or other forms of buildings in the dream world. These buildings are not directly tied to human memory because someone from the dream world built them! Just as humans can buy up land to build their own property, we have the power to do that too- with a price, of course!

Cappy's Cat Cafe is the perfect example of this. The restaurant is located in the middle of nowhere and Cappy decided to choose this particular piece of land to build his cafe. It's a dream worldian building not made as a result of humans and there are plenty of other examples like this. Perhaps someone decides to build a house they can live in away from others, or maybe someone builds a restaurant, or what about a gas station in the middle of nowhere? That last one would be strange…considering we don't really use vehicles down here, but hey it's a possibility!

These places are not necessarily labeled as dimensions since either they are man-made or too small to even be considered a dimension. The Dimension Enforcement Agency, which goes out and inspects whether an area can/can still be classified as a dimension would have to approve or unapprove current or existing requests for such an area to be dubbed as a dimensions, and the chances of that are low if it's man made.

In any case, you may stumble upon these areas and wonder "is this a real human world location?" and chances are, it may not be! Someone from our own dream world bought land and constructed their own property! Trust me, if you've been around long enough, you'll know that there's a LOT of barren land and nothing but trees that stretch out long distances. There's bound to be an area that captures your eye and gives you a boost to build your own place!
