MCSWEETIE'S OPENS BACK UP FOR VALENTINE'S

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, but so is a familiar restaurant stand.

McSweetie's is back just as Valentine's Day approaches. The famous restaurant stand, which first opened in 1954, is known for selling its famous milkshakes and ice creams that many have said are beyond delicious. The stand itself is still stuck in the 1950's, but that also means their menu hasn't changed one bit.

McSweetie's is known to have created a faster system of ordering and receiving food. Customers simply walk up to the window to order, pay, and then their order will be served in seconds. This system would later be seen in other areas of the dream world dealing with rapid order service.

Many residents have flocked over to McSweetie's to order a sweet treat, either for the first time or not, and have said that services are pretty quick.

"I think I stood in line for less than three minutes when I got there," one customer told me, "And the line was long! That's how fast service is!"

"I got myself a strawberry milkshake and then a vanilla ice cream cone for my lovely wife," another customer said, "There's something in these treats that really doesn't compare to anywhere else!"

"It kind of feels like they made these with actual love," said one customer, "They're just so good. I think I'm getting back in line to order another shake!" 

As McSweetie's reopens, other areas of the dream world are looking sweet and pink lately. Valentine's Day causes a few dimensions around the dream world to be decorated for the occasion. Lots of sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows can be seen throughout multiple areas!

"Came to the Pool and was surprised by how pretty it looks," a local resident tells me, "I almost don't wanna leave!"

"Stopped by the Parlor to order one of their sweet pizzas," one resident says, "I was told multiple times that they've been triple checked and are safe to eat. Wouldn't it be funny if this causes us to be drained of any love we have?" 

"Things are getting slow at the Club!" another resident tells me, "Slow dancing to be exact! Looks like you might need a date if you stop by…"

As dimensions get pink, McSweetie's will be open to serve customers their famed treats. They are located down 16th Avenue, just west of the Picnic dimension which also returned!

QUADRENNIAL MAGIC SHOW TO BE HELD SOON

The word’s in: things will be looking more magical pretty soon!

I recently reached out to the famed magician, Gia the Grand to ask her if she is going to perform her quadrennial magic show. To my luck, she replied and she confirms that she will!

For those who are unfamiliar with Gia, she is a very famous magician who is known to perform all types of tricks, including those with magic, illusions, hypnosis, and mentalism. While Gia tends to travel around the dream world performing her tricks, a very special magic show is held every four years at the Stage, but it’s limited access!

Gia performs a special magic show every leap day as leap days are considered to be the day where you can easily harness a lot of magical power. However, these shows are private with limited access as they are held as a birthday party as well! Gia holds these shows for DIA chief Daiki as his birthday only comes once every four years. While the chief has always attended these shows, he does invite other guests along to come visit.

“What people don’t know is that the chief loves magic and magical tricks!” Gia said in one interview from 2008, “I think he’s got a soft spot for magic. He loves my tricks, what can I say?! It’s always an honour to hold these shows for his birthday that, of course, only comes once every four years! How crazy is that?!”

Gia replied back to me in an email confirming she is performing her quadrennial magic show for the DIA chief’s birthday, but she says that this year’s will be different.

“I’ve been throwing this party for the chief since 1936, but this year’s a little special!” she says, “This year will be the one hundredth year that the chief’s been in his post! I think I ought to go out a little more with my tricks, right?”

With this in mind, Gia hasn’t released more details, but she says that she’ll be preparing ahead of the grand show at the Stage that will be held only on leap day.

“I look forward to the chief to arrive and watch me perform a- ahem- a free show just for his birthday! I also look forward to seeing who he invites to the show! Doesn’t matter if it’s a show for one, two or a dozen- I’ll be sure that it’s one to remember!”

Gia the Grand will be holding her private quadrennial magic show soon at the Stage! Expect the Stage to be closed to the public soon as she prepares for the event to be held on February 29.

Dear Lucid, can the Council reverse any of their verdicts or decisions on rules?

Hello Sue. Yes, it is possible for the Council to reverse any rule or decision that they decided. Of course, this is extremely rare. The Council does not like to admit if they made a mistake. Chances of any rule or decision being reversed because of a mistake they made is very minute. Even so, this does not make me lose hope of achieving redemption.

Dear Lucid, do you ever get tired of reading?

Greetings Somani. Well, no. Not necessarily. Reading has always been a huge part of my life. Now, I will take breaks from reading as it can strain my eyes, but I do not usually go a day or two without reading a book. After all, what else may I do when I have no where to go? I just stay at home at read.

Dear Lucid, why’d you even travel to the real world if you knew it was illegal?

Hello Noe. The answer is simple: I was curious. Why is the biggest rule to not visit the real world? What is really being hidden? I saw firsthand many things in my journeys to the real world, but I also managed to do research, collect data, and other resourceful material. Unfortunately, my research was destroyed after I got caught, though there are rumors that prior to being destroyed, the research was actually helpful for later improving certain aspects of life in the dream world. Of course, I received zero credit for this.

Dear Lucid, how well known were you in the Academy?

Greetings Gee. During my time there, I was very well known to be the top of my class…and top of every other class really. I managed to complete various academic papers on a wide variety of subjects that were later used as "blueprints" for improving the quality of life in the dream world. Other papers of mine developed theories and formed laws for the way the dream world behaves. Have you heard of Universal Aging Compression? That is a law that was coined by me. There are other things I coined, but sadly, much has been uncredited after my trial and those papers were likely destroyed as well. The Council really did try to erase everything I had achieved in my life.

Dear Lucid, if the dream world can dream, is there a dream world of the dream world?

Hello Theo. I assume you are using the logic that since humans are the reason the dream world exists because of their memories and dreams, then the same could apply to those in the dream world who also have memories and dreams. There are many theories and speculation of a world that exists as a sub plane of the dream world- a "dream world of the dream world" as you said. If that is the case, then it must be incredibly hard to get there. I have not heard of any stories of anyone successfully doing so, as people seem more interested in the real world. I do not think much of it because then it becomes an ongoing thought. A dream world of the dream world that has a dream world of a dream world of the dream world with another dream world of a dream world of a dream world of the dream world…it would go on and on. If they exist, what do you think people there are like? Maybe there is another Nate there who is just as sweet and kind as the Nate down here.

Dear Lucid, what is one thing you still don’t understand?

Greetings Unshur. I often get confused looks when I say this, but I still do not understand what love truly means. I have read countless books, done observations, research, and just about anything to have me understand what love is, yet I still do not quite understand it. It is one of a few emotions that are very hard to comprehend. A very strong, but fragile emotion that can bring forth a wave of other emotions into the mix. It is very strange. I look to understand what it really means to be "in love" or to be loved. Though…perhaps I have already met people who taught me that. It is still very confusing.

Now- Valentine’s Party 2024: Various dimensions of the dream world are looking lovely and sweet as Valentine’s Day approaches. Lots of sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows await you, so get out there to visit the loveliest party of the year!

Now- Picnic dimension returns: Skipping down 16th Avenue and you’ll find the lovely Picnic dimension! Have lunch with your date here or just admire the scenery! Wait? No date? It’s almost Valentine’s Day…come on!

Now- Lucid’s back: This dream demon’s back in his realm for what I can assume is because he has a particular date to meet on the 14th. Any guesses as to whom it may be?

February 15- Stage preparations: Gia’s getting ready to hold her quadrennial magic show at the Stage, but she’ll need time to prepare. I wonder what tricks she has up her sleeve?

February 22- Magic Show: Prepared to be amazed! A special magic show is set to be held soon for Daiki’s birthday. What can we expect? Better find out soon!
