The looming shadow that bumps in the night

Summary:

You arrive at Almoral's mansion after receiving an invitation for a Halloween party he is hosting. While you go to visit, another Halloween party is simultaneously being hosted by the famed Count Anastasius. In the meantime, the DPF moves along with their own missions as a peculiar forecast casts a shadow on the dream world…

NOTE: This event takes place on October 31, 2024.

[In the meantime, over at the Club dimension, a party is underway held by the famed Count Anastasius.]

BETH: Wow Anastasius, this party is great!

JIANGSHI: I didn't know how much I missed these events until now.

HAZEL: Lots of people showed up! People really missed you throwing your Halloween parties!

COUNT ANASTASIUS: Yes, it has been quite a hot minute since I have thrown these parties. I'm glad that people have come out to enjoy themselves on this fine day.

HAZEL: We may not be in your mansion this year, but at least we can let the dream world feel safe out here!

JIANGSHI: Many people have been worried about this year's Halloween, but it's nice for them to ease those worries at this party.

BETH: I'm still a little anxious though… What if something bad happens?

HAZEL: Oh Beth, relax! There hasn't been and won't be any danger to the dream world for Halloween! Or soon for that matter!

BETH: Ahh, well, maybe you're right. I always have been anxious…

ANASTASIUS: (chuckle) Hahaha, do not worry. I will make sure that everything goes well. After all, I promised everyone that the party would go without problems. The Club was a great place to show that the rural dream world is safe and sound.

JIANGSHI: Next year, you should host it back at your mansion. I don't mind the Club, but you know, your mansion has more space.

HAZEL: Let's not be so picky! This was a great pick!

BETH: It's nice to have a party out here, but then again, the DPF said to be on the lookout…

HAZEL: They need to relax and take the day off today! Yes we will worry, but not now. It's time to party!

JIANGSHI: Today we party and tomorrow we are on the lookout. Don't worry Beth. Things will be fine.

ANASTASIUS: I fear Chief Tsukanai is paranoid and just as anxious as Beth. Things have been quiet for a good while now and will stay quiet. I have no ill will, but the chief must take a break now and then.

HAZEL: Yes… he is known to overwork himself on cases like these. Remember the first few years when he tried to investigate Lucid's reappearance in the dream world? He was paranoid then thinking Lucid would strike back for revenge!

JIANGSHI: And now it's been almost a hundred years and Lucid has not done anything to the dream world. The chief got all worked up for nothing.

ANASTASIUS: Yes… I respect him, but he worries too much. I hope he takes a break today.

BETH: I do too… I wonder what he's even up to on Halloween?
