WIDESPREAD RAIN SHOWERS EXPECTED SOON

In case anyone forgot, spring is in full swing across the dream world.

According to the Dimension Weather Prediction Service, the dream world is set to expect “widespread” rain and thunder showers soon. In fact, skies are already looking gray across the dream world ahead of these showers.

“If you've been out in the dream world, you may have seen gray skies,” DWPS senior meteorologist Neige tells me, “This is ahead of anticipated rain that will begin in the next week or so.”

Neige tells me that, while this is likely to be a widespread weather event, this will not be anything abnormal in nature in comparison to November of last year's snow storm.

“No, it is typical for rain to encompass much of the observable dream world during the months of April and May,” he explains, “It's not anything abnormal. This is normal for this time of year as it is spring, after all.”

While not abnormal, Neige says that rain showers are typically accompanied by lightning, which can be dangerous. 

“Lightning is also common during the spring season and it's important to stay safe during thunderstorms,” he says, “People may not take that into account when traversing the dream world during rain events. It's important to be safe.”

Alongside lightning, there is also the possibility for severe weather. 

“Severe weather in the dream world can strike in any season, but it is more common during spring and summer months,” Neige says, “It's not uncommon for thunderstorms to become severe in nature and bring along hail or even a brief tornado. It can happen.”

Neige reminds everyone to have a plan in place in the event that severe weather arises in their area.

“It's key to have an emergency plan in place if severe weather strikes your area. Know how to react, what to do, and where to go,” he says, “Also, make sure you have a way to receive weather alerts from the DWPS. Whether it be by phone, TV, or internet, it's important to have alerts on so you can be safe.”

DREAM WORLD RETURNS TO NORMALITY FOLLOWING TIME ANOMALIES

The dream world is looking back in its regular state following a wave of time anomalies.

According to Sir Timely, a mission held last week successfully dealt with the anomalies that were causing ripples in the space-time continuum. The mission, accompanied by members of the DPF, was safe, but effective in stopping the anomalies.

“Oh yes, it was a rather safe mission overall!” Sir Timely said, “Yes, there was time travel involved, but with the right permits and paperwork done, it was a breeze and everyone was kept under my supervision. All went well!”

Timely says that the IAA,DFCU, and ROTU were essential in the mission having been successful.

“I want to give a shout out to the IAA and DFCU, with another shout out to the ROTU as well, for tagging along and providing assistance on this mission!” Timely said, “It was because of their help that this mission was successful and I really want to shout them out!”

Timely says he also wants to extend a shout out to the DDCP and DPU for their help on the outside.

“The DDCP was a big help in informing the public that, although there were time anomalies taking areas back to the NEAP-1 outbreak, things were safe and there was no danger. It was crucial people knew that things were overall safe!” Timely explained, “The DPU was also helpful with officers assisting residents across the warped landscape, but also in reopening areas that may have been closed as a result of the time anomalies. I appreciate all five of these agencies!”

Timely says that with the time anomalies cleaned up, he doesn’t expect there to be any imminent threats to the dream world, including follow up time anomalies popping up randomly.

“No no, the time anomaly threat is over,” Timely said, “I have not detected any additional residual anomalies in the past that would contribute to future incidents. That being said, I still sent out some members of my team to further investigate and make sure things are truly cleaned up! They’ll let me know in the near-future if anything is up!”

Dear Nate, in theory, will soulmates always meet each other in any universe?

Hi Eiluv! This is a question that a lot of people tend to ask even if they’re dating or not sure if they’re dating someone who is their soulmate. As you may have heard before, yes, soulmates are a real thing! Everyone has at least one, but let’s briefly touch on this topic again.

The concept of soulmates does exist and has been proven to be true. You see, it’s true that each universe has to be perfectly balanced in order for there to be “true order” and harmony. We have to be paired with our soulmate(s) in order for there to be such harmony, but it is very hard to do so. This is why a vast majority of universes are not at peace because the energy is not balanced. Lucid estimates that there may be less than one hundred universes that are at “true order” out there, but who knows if that’s true! It’s hard to say so exactly…

Now, should you find your soulmate(s) in this universe, you may wonder if you’d meet them in another life somewhere else. In this case, it would mean we’re talking about alternate universes— universes where it’s still “us” but not truly “us” if that makes sense. Basically, another version of us that exists somewhere in an alternate universe! Would the “you” here meet your soulmates in another “you’s” universe? Lucid has theorized that it is quite possible that, no matter the circumstances, you are bound to always meet your soulmates at some point in any other universe; however, whether you date them in that universe is different and hard to know. Lucid has coined this as the “Theory of Eversoul Convergence” and it has a nice ring to it, if I say so!

Honestly, it’s quite interesting to think about. Perhaps there’s a universe out there where you and your soulmate(s) are completely opposite of you in this universe! Maybe there’s a universe out there where your fashion styles are different, or even switched! Maybe there’s a universe out there where you do meet them, but there’s no happy ending… Yikes, there’s a LOT of possibilities as it’s theorized that there are an endless amount of alternate universes out there. I think I’m happy in the universe I’m in given the circumstances, but don’t worry if you think you haven’t met your soulmate yet. You’re bound to at some point if the theory is true…don’t worry! And hey, whether any of this is true or not, it’s fun to imagine falling in love over and over again in any life and in any universe with the same person or people… the never ending cycle of it all!

Dear Nate, is there anything else you do outside of the DPF?

Hi Otto! There are in fact a few hobbies I do outside of the DPF work, however, there is one in particular I enjoy doing!

Most people don’t know this, unless you’re close to me, but I do babysit for a friend of mine! You might know about Eliazar- he’s the head instructor of the DPF’s rescue operations team. You might not know that he has a son as well! Because Eliazar’s schedule lets him off work late, his son needs to be picked up from school and I’m the one in charge of that!

Benji, his son’s nickname, is very nice! I often look after him for about three hours after school and I take him to my apartment where we hang out! I might cook him something, or help him with homework, or sometimes we might do something fun! Benji has grown to know me well and he’s a very sweet kid. Eliazar would come to pick him up later and sometimes he’s already asleep! Eliazar always pays me of course, though I understand he works pretty hard at the rescue operations team! 

Occasionally, he does have to stay over time at work, so I’m with Benji for a bit longer- not that that’s a problem! There are also occasions where he asks me to babysit Benji for a whole day, depending on school or personal factors. I’ve grown to enjoy this side job and although Eliazar and I are not necessarily close, he does put a lot of trust in me! I met him in the DPF’s cafeteria one day after I was speaking with Finn about an issue and from there we got to know each other more. Finn is one of my close friends so I guess Eliazar trusted me from there…the cafeteria is fun stuff!

I bet you didn’t think a little dream demon like me could babysit, right? I might be small, but I am definitely old enough for this job! Though, it’s not like I’d babysit other kids. I think one is enough for me to handle, and even so, Benji is not a lot of work! He’s very kind and likes to ask questions about me, his dad, and about Finn too. I think the little guy has a bright future and I can’t wait to see how he grows up! Babysitting can be fun…I just hope Eliazar doesn’t forget one day to pick him up!
