WINTER STORM…SUBSIDING…?

Hello fellow readers! The Subliminal Tribune staff has gained limited access to our website again after hard work from the IAA to try and get back in our systems. While we don’t have full access yet, we gained access to post the main articles again! With that aside, the weather is seemingly…peaking?

According to the latest information, several residents have been reporting that snow has stopped falling in virtually every area of the dream world! This comes following nearly a month of nonstop snowfall that has already set off “historic” levels of snow that have never been seen before. In doing so, it has also made roads impassable throughout the dream world!

The weather service is working to verify the validity of these reports as many of their weather machines have stopped working and reporting data. In addition to the snow seemingly coming to a halt, there have also been reports of a “wide-scale seismic event” that rattled many areas of the dream world.

“We've gotten numerous reports of snow coming to an end around the dream world that we're trying to confirm,” DWPS senior meteorologist Cirrus told me, “On top of that, there have also been reports of sudden shaking felt as far as the Apartments! We're working to verify as much as we can.” 

With these events occurring, many are now asking if the winter storm has come to an end. The weather service says it's difficult to determine this as there needs to be more data and information to confirm it.

“A lot of our weather stations are down and can't report data to us, so we have to work with the ones that are working,” Cirrus explained, “We also need to work with authorities like the DPF to determine if the winter storm is truly finished. As we know, Francis is behind this, but did he stop the storm? We need to confirm this.”

Although the snow has tapered off, the DWPS still says that conditions outside are not safe.

“There is still a LOT of snow piled up that has made roads and paths unsafe for travel,” Cirrus said, “We still don't recommend the public to travel at this time. We'll be getting in touch with various agencies to form a plan on what to do next. Perhaps better days are ahead!”

IS FRANCIS’ PLAN FAILING?

Hello Tribune readers! We’re getting mixed reports that Francis’ plan may seem to be failing! The questions now are: Where is Francis, have his plans hit a dead end, and is the DPF behind this failure?

These are the unanswered questions that many residents are asking as the “de facto leader” was unavailable for comment. Francis has been active in the newspaper, on social media, and on other forms of media, but the mad scientist has been quiet…too quiet.

Some residents are wondering if Francis’ plans came to a screeching halt after the snow tapered off and the “leader” went quiet. In addition to this, some areas of the dream world have seemingly begun to get power back.

“Very, very, minute areas of the dream world are seeing power automatically back on,” DPEC chief Lumière stated, “Unfortunately, many areas are still in the dark, but at least the snow stopped. We may be able to soon send workers out to fix the grid.”

With this information, other residents are asking if the DPF is behind these positive developments. The Dimension Protection Force has been seemingly quiet in the past few weeks, but some have speculated that they have been working behind the scenes to potentially stop and capture Francis.

“Francis might've told us that the DPF wasn't coming to save us, but maybe they did?” Brie of the Parlor said, “They may not tell us, but they may definitely be working behind the scenes. Who knows!”

“It's normal for the DPF to work in secret and then come out later on with news,” Epsilon of the Apartments explained, “They're not going to reveal top-secret information that fast. Let's just wait to see what they say once they're ready to reveal it.”

“Personally, I don't think the DPF saved us,” local necromancer Almoral said, “I'm putting a thousand morphs that LUCID was THE person who saved us all! I have a GOOD feeling he did! Come on, who's with me?!” 

It is still too early to determine if Francis has truly failed, but time will tell. Stay tuned to the Tribune for the latest information as it develops!

It's a lot like this world, but filled with a lot of unconventional problems. A lot of conflict, a lot of famine, a lot of warming... Frankly, that place is going to the dump soon if we don't get our act together! It's why Project Morpheus was put in place; to find a suitable home for humans to move to once the real world became too unbearable! What do you miss most about home?

Good question! I think the thing I miss the most about home is the beach. You know, I lived only a few minutes from the shore! The sandy beaches with the smell of the Gulf of Mexico was not necessarily pleasant, but it’s nostalgic to think about. My mom used to take me there all the time with my siblings! Funny…I don’t think mom is around anymore, but I’d sure love to see what my siblings are up to! It’s been so long…

What will you do if your plans fail?

Ha! You really think my plans are going to fail? NOT POSSIBLE! I got this machine cranked up, the dream world to a stop, and this portal's almost ready to get me out of this dump! Hmm, I suppose IF the plan fails… then I'd have no choice but to do what they used to do back in the day! So what if my plans fail and what if they want to capture me? I promise you that I'll simply take all of my plans, all of my stories, all of my knowledge, and all my secrets down with me- if you know what I mean. No way will I let myself be arrested and captured! I'd rather jump off a cliff than do that! Seriously! I shouldn't worry though. My plans will NOT fail and I will reign supreme until further notice! Should these be my last words before the end, I simply hoped to have had all of my dreams that I dared to dream come true in a world made up of the dreams of all those who came before me. Perhaps, in another time, in another world, in another life.
