DREAM WORLD LOOKS BRIGHT, JOYOUS

By: Porter

The “halls” of the dream world have certainly been decked.

The dream world in general is looking much brighter and more festive as of late. After the recent blackout, many areas remained in the dark. Now, most of the dream world is back in the light, as both power is restored and areas are decorated!

According to Rainier, the Secretary of Christmas Affairs at the Pole, workers were dispatched to help with ongoing recovery efforts across the dream world. At the same time, they were also helping decorate various areas to make things look “a little brighter” than usual.

“We wanted to make the dream world a little brighter after the recent events of the blackout caused everyone out here to go in the dark,” Rainier tells me while visiting the Cafe, “I think being in the dark really dimmed everyone's spirits, but not worry! Nothing a little holiday magic can't fix!”

Rainier says that workers helped decorated areas at a rapid pace due to training and holiday magic.

“Our workers are highly trained and specialized in holiday decorating. They also work with holiday magic to help brighten things up a bit!” Rainier explains, “Workers can easily put up decorations in a flash and before you know it, poof! Decorations up and running! It's amazing!”

Apart from decorations, many more areas of the rural dream world are seeing their main power back. While not everyone has their power restored yet, the decorations and lights are helping out a lot.

“At this time, we're seeing about 36% of residents still without power, but it is good progress,” Dimension Power and Energy Company chief Lumière said, “Rainier has been a great help in getting artificial lights across the dark spots of the rural dream world. Even if these spots have no power yet, it is reassuring to see holiday lights illuminate these areas. It gives us hope.”

More foot traffic has been seen across the dream world in the past week when compared to two weeks ago. Many residents are attributing this to the holiday season.

“A month ago, we were stuck in our home, but now we can walk about!” Riley, a resident from the Apartments tells me, “It's nice to take a stroll and admire all of the lights. It's serenading.”

“I look forward to the holiday aurora lights each year!” Mesphos, a resident from the District tells me, “We had an event back in June with the aurora, but the holiday ones are much better in my opinion!”

“After a long month, we kind of needed this,” Emilio, a worker at the Parlor tells me, “Things start to wind down towards the end of the year, so it's nice to see lights and to see people be happy.”

Rainier expects the holiday lights and decorations to persist until at least mid-January.

“The holiday season runs now until at least mid-January, so you have about a month to view all the decorations!” The secretary said, “We sincerely hope everyone has a joyous and bright holiday season no matter their situation. We're making sure this one is a season to remember, and we'll make sure of it!”

To all of our readers, from the Subliminal Tribune staff, we wish everyone a safe, warm, and joyous holiday season. Merry Christmas!

POLE EXPECTS SMOOTH CHRISTMAS AMID RECOVERY AND DONATION DRIVE

By: Arial

As Christmas approaches fast, the Pole is working hard to ensure a smooth holiday season.

While workers were dispatched to help with ongoing recovery efforts, Rainier says that everything's looking great leading up to December 25.

“It's been a long month, but our workers are the real deal!” Rainier said, “Not only have they been decorating about, they've also been helping out with the ongoing recovery all while making, organizing, wrapping, and preparing gifts for Christmas Day! I'm kind of impressed myself!”

Even with all the tasks Pole workers have been assigned with, things are looking very smooth, including postal deliveries.

“We're helping out our friends at the postal service and helping them deliver letters and packages to others across the dream world,” the secretary explained, “A lot of mail was backed up during the blackout, but we're handling triple as much mail than we normally do during the holiday season to speed it up for them! It's working out very well!”

Aside from the recovery, Rainier established a donation drive to help out those who need help this holiday season following the disaster.

“They say it's the season of giving, and you're right! A lot of people were affected after the snow storm, so we want to help out where we can,” Rainier told me, “We set up a donation drive to help out! All proceeds will go towards the ongoing recovery efforts. It's a way to give back to the community!”

Rainier says that there will be donation stations across the dream world that will transport all donations directly to the Pole. There are special tubes connecting from each station and traversing across the dream world all the way to the Pole.

“If you see a donation station, feel free to drop a morph or two!” He said, “No amount is too big or too small. Your donation might help out a friend or family member without you even knowing it! Of course, we should also help out our fellow residents. Together, we can raise a lot!”

Rainier says this donation drive will persist through the rest of the holiday season. Besides that, Christmas is looking bright and things are scheduled to be on time for liftoff on December 25.

“Now that we got that Francis smell out of the carpet, it's time to look towards Christmas! Luckily, there are NO problems in sight!” Rainier said, “We're busy making the last minute gifts and tackling small issues here and there, but we're on track to take off on Christmas Day! How exciting is it to have a Christmas where Francis isn't involved? Very!”

The secretary says that residents can still visit the Pole HQ for assistance, but appointments are strongly recommended.

“I've temporarily allowed walk-in visits to the Pole HQ, but you aren't guaranteed a spot if there's many people ahead of you,” he said, “It's still best to book an appointment just in case. We're more than happy to try and assist you just before Christmas Day. Feel free to drop by!”

For questions or if you would like to book an appointment, please visit the Pole HQ’s website or call them for additional information. Santa Claus is expected to take off from the Pole at midnight, December 25. Have a wonderful and joyous Christmas!

Q/A: Ask the main cast

Are you staying in or out on Christmas?

By: Innor Owts

Nate: I think I’m going out!

Telly: I prefer to stay in!

Figment: Well I can’t really go anywhere…so in it is!

Almoral: Definitely going out, I mean, who stays IN for Christmas??

Epsilon: I’d prefer to stay in, but Dylan may want to go out.

Porter: I love going out on Christmas to see all the lights and sounds!

Dylan: Out!!!

Sylveran: In.

Cirrus: I think going out to view the aurora holiday lights will be nice!

M3-0W: I’m going out to travel the dream world!

Finnegan: I’m going to be going out with my favorite people ever!

Eliazar: I’m going out to visit my mom and sister for Christmas dinner.

Kodia: There’s nothing like going out to see the wilderness on Christmas! So magical!

Lucid: I have nowhere to be out in the dream world, so it is best for me to stay in this Christmas.

Hot chocolate or tea?

By: Pik Won

Nate: I think I’d pick hot chocolate!

Telly: I cannot really drink either of those, but I’d love to try tea someday if I could!

Figment: Hot chocolate please!

Almoral: Not one of those pick one of these questions! Um… can I get more time to choose?

Epsilon: Tea, for sure.

Porter: Not to be British, but tea over hot chocolate any day!

Dylan: Hot chocolate! Tea is boring for Christmas anyway!

Sylveran: Tea.

Cirrus: I would have to go with tea!

M3-0W: I cannot try either option as I’m a robot, but I’m curious about hot chocolate!

Finnegan: Hot chocolate is very good!

Eliazar: Hot chocolate would be nice this time of year.

Kodia: Call me different, but tea with honey is so good!

Lucid: Tea may be an ancient beverage, but this hot chocolate specialty is different. I see why people enjoy drinking this when it is cold, especially during the holiday season.

What do you wish for Christmas?

By: Innor Owts

Nate: At my age, I’m not really sure… I guess, maybe a new sweater!

Telly: Yet another TV, but one from the 1950s!

Figment: I kind of want a new radio! The one in here gets a spotty signal…

Almoral: Well I know Santa may or may not be able to grant this, but if he could send Lucid my way that’d be great!! Hehe, no pressure, but… it’d be nice!

Epsilon: I kind of need new glasses. These are fine, but maybe a new color and design.

Porter: I really want one of those antique typewriters. I think it’d be great to type scoops on those the old fashioned way!

Dylan: I could go for some new shoes! Maybe pink shoes to match, you know, everything else??

Sylveran: Lucid’s arrest would be fantastic, but if it must be something physical, a new stun gun.

Cirrus: New bows for my hair, please!

M3-0W: An upgrade of memory…it’s getting a bit cramped in here!

Finnegan: I’m so bad at wishing for gifts, but… I think a new jacket would be awesome!

Eliazar: Peace and quiet next year. We don’t need a repeat of 2024 again, thank you.

Kodia: I want a new ranger hat! This one is getting kind of small on me…

Lucid: Redemption, if possible, next year. If not, then I wish for nothing but joy and light for those close to me. That is all I ask for.
