DPF REDUCES PATROLS IN KEY AREAS
By: Oswald
You may have noticed less patrol officers out in the rural dream world as of late. You’re not wrong.
The Dimension Patrol Unit of the DPF recently came out this week to announce that they’ve reduced the number of patrol officers out in the rural dream world. This comes unexpectedly as many residents were not aware of the sudden change.
If you recall, the DPU deployed additional patrol officers in certain areas of the dream world to try and see if the current most wanted criminal, Francis Robert P. Jackson, would be caught. While that was over half a year ago, patrol officers have not had any luck in spotting the wanted fugitive at all.
“We deployed patrol officers to try and get a better chance of possibly spotting Francis in the rural dream world,” DPU chief officer Matías explained in a press conference, “Unfortunately, none of our officers have spotted even a glimpse of Francis out there. Even if Francis has been moving about in the rural dream world, it’s probably not in publicly known areas.”
Chief Matías explains that while patrol officers have decreased in the exteriors of the dream world, certain areas will remain on high alert for suspicious activities.
“We still have officers near ‘red’ areas in case Francis is moving about in these areas,” the chief officer explained, “Even so, we haven’t had luck there either, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.”
“Red” areas refer to areas of the dream world known for high crime. It comes from a list that the DPU typically uses to patrol dimensions of the dream world known as the “Regional Safety and Crime List” or RSCL for short. There are three colors: “Blue” refers to areas with little crime, “Orange” refers to areas with moderate crime, and “Red” is the highest.
Chief Matías says that officers will still respond to crimes across the rural dream world even if patrols have decreased back to “normal.”
“Although we have fewer officers in some areas, the rules remain the same. Anyone committing a crime can be reported and arrested as such,” chief Matías said, “If you see something suspicious, please report it to your nearest officer or dial *1. We count on our residents to keep our dimensions safe.”

DPDS PERFORMS INSPECTIONS ON REGIONAL POST OFFICES
By: Arial
The Dimension Postal Delivery Service is currently conducting inspections of its regional post offices across the dream world.
This comes after DPDS chief Kaige announced that she wants to have inspections done to make sure post offices are up to date with their current standards and expectations. These inspections are only for post offices in the rural dream world and not for those within the District.
“It’s important to make sure that our regional post offices in the exterior are running smoothly and complying with our standards,” chief Kaige said, “So, we’ll have postal inspection workers conducting these inspections to all of our exterior offices.”
Outside of the District, the rural dream world is divided into 215 regional areas. In each of these regional areas, the DPDS operates a post office. Depending on the regional area, the post office will either offer various or few services. However, all post offices handle receiving and delivering mail for those in that region or in another region of the dream world.
Chief Kaige believes that the inspections may take a while to do as they traverse to each regional post office. She says it may take about a month to complete.
“These inspections are expected to be completed within the next month or so as our inspection workers go through each office one by one,” the DPDS chief said, “In doing so, we do not expect there to be any disruptions to the mail system. Deliveries should still run as normal.”
Regardless, the chief says that you can always track outbound or inbound deliveries on their website.
“Packages can be tracked on our website if you send or are receiving one,” chief Kaige said, “We recommend the public to use this feature! It is highly useful.”

Q/A: Ask the developer
Dear Adri, are any areas in the game inspired by places where you live?
By: Livvi Closeby
Hello Livvi! The answer to that is yes! There are actually various areas that are inspired by places I have been to here where I live. Sometimes I will be driving around and see a spot that looks like it could go in the game. Sometimes it’s just an area I associate with a memory of mine.
The Establishment is based on a local Dunkin’ Donuts that’s near where I grew up when I was little. The Plaza is based off of an actual plaza that’s near where I live now. The Section is based off of an area of my old college that I used to sit and study at because of how secluded and quiet it was. The spawn area of the Room is actually a room in my house taken from a picture I found when it was all empty! There are other areas inspired from real life places near me, but these are the ones that stand out the most.
Dear Adri, are there any secrets in the game?
By: Telmia Sikret
Hi Telmia! Biz Mart is already a bizarre game, but you probably may not know that there are a few secrets around in the game. Hidden areas, secret doors, strange messages…what do they all mean? Well, sometimes there’s a secret in the game that doesn’t really mean much in terms of what it adds to the lore. Other times, it’s something pretty significant!
I’ll give you one insignificant secret: In the School dimension, if you head through the corridor by the legendary “cone door,” you’ll find a white hallway with a door. The door may seem like you can’t get into it, but you can! You have to slide in sideways and you may find a peculiar…shrine of some sorts. Surprise!
Here’s a significant secret: Somewhere in the Backrooms, there’s an area that actually takes you to a darker area of the dimension. This area looks abandoned and uh…well, there’s something going on here. If you manage to find it and reach the end, you get a badge. Sweet!
There are other secrets and easter eggs in the game, but sometimes the biggest secrets are those yet to be revealed. If you’re looking for secret areas, look around! Maybe there’s an area on a wall you can get into, or a secret ladder to another place, or maybe a part that’ll teleport you elsewhere… Explore!
Dear Adri, can you tell us more about Biz Mart's location?
By: Gio Grafi
Hello Gio! Biz Mart is located in a rather strange place, don’t you think? If you didn’t know already, it’s located in Lake County, Minnesota. This area of Minnesota is known for some very strange and unexplainable events. The locals here tell stories of sightings that can’t be explained like UFOs, lights in the woods, strange noises, weird behavior, and even sightings of creatures like Bigfoot and…cat people? Of course, the local sheriff’s office just brushes it off that supernatural superstition, but is it really?
No, this area really is strange! There’s a huge vortex here known as the “Anomalous Vortex Zone” where multiple vortices converge to form one really big vortex. Remember, vortices are a way to reach the dream world and have been known to occasionally “suck” in people. People in Lake County have gone missing at a higher rate than the other surrounding counties, but they really don’t know what’s going on. And yes, the U.S. government is indeed aware of this, but have yet to fully investigate it because of Biz Mart!
The convenience store is located right on top of this massive vortex and although they’ve conducted surveillance on the place, it seems like they haven’t found much. Sid has tried hard since the 1960’s to keep the place under wraps, but is still paranoid about it. The locals here seem both aware and unaware of the strange things going on at Biz Mart and don’t often stop to visit. Stopping for gas during the day? Okay, maybe. At night? Just keep driving! People sure are spooked around here…
But for Sid, this area is not scary. All of the strange things are a result of dream worldian residents either purposefully or accidentally making their way there or just a result of the vortex doing what a vortex would do: be weird. Sid will downplay these sightings and occurrences to employees, though, and suggest they visit a doctor. That’s rich coming from Sid, but ah well! Would you want to visit or work at Biz Mart? I mean sure the inventory here is limited, expired, and questionable, but it would be an adventure out of this world! Ha, literally!
