DREAM WORLD BACK TO NORMAL AFTER WEEKS OF WEIRDNESS

Things are going back to normal in the dream world following a success patch in a dimension that was leaking.

The mission, led by DPF agents Hallucinate and ME-0W, was deemed successful after they had gone into the Box dimension and cleaned up the mess it was leaving behind. I spoke to Nate to get a sense of what happened.

“Well…it wasn’t easy, but M3-0W managed to clean up everything!” Nate told me, “I figured that since the Box dimension was ‘sucking’ in items from other dimensions that didn’t belong in there, it was causing lots of ‘glitches’ and mishaps throughout the dream world. I figured, ‘Hey! Why not just clean up what doesn’t belong in there and see if that fixes the problem?’ and it worked!”

Nate says that it’s still a theory, and he’s not sure if that was really the case. 

“It’s highly plausible that my theory is correct. It’s a weird theory for sure, but it makes sense. M3-0W and I also went ahead and cleaned up the excess waste the leak left behind and safely contained it,” he says, “We don’t expect the Box dimension to leak again…but who knows…this place has a mind of its own!”

Nate further explains that there is still no real explanation as to why the Box dimension even behaved this way and leaked in the first place.

“Now that’s the next part of the investigation. As you know, I’m handling multiple investigations at once, and this one is probably the weirdest one yet! Are they connected? I’m not sure, but you can bet pounds to donuts that I’ll get to the bottom of all of this!”

The Dimension Protection Force is reporting that the dream world should be back to normal, albeit for some dimensions observing the Easter season. The agency is asking for anyone who has any tips about this situation to give them a call to their hotline.

SIGHTINGS OF LUCID CONTINUE TO BE REPORTED

There are unconfirmed reports that the notorious, escaped convict and dream demon, Lucid, has been seen once again in obscure parts of the dream world.

Lucid has been on the run for almost a century now, after escaping his punishment that was bestowed upon him by the Council. Despite hundreds of sightings over the decades, Lucid has yet to be apprehended. 

Lucid’s main crime, coined as “Realization”, happened around a century ago when he was illegally caught visiting the real world. Despite claiming it was for research, the Council punished and banished him into what they called “solitary confinement” for the rest of his life. Visiting the real world illegally is considered a crime against dreaming and the highest possible crime, exceeding that of other more dangerous crimes. 

Although Lucid was punished for life, he somehow managed to escape his solitary confinement under mysterious circumstances. It is not known how Lucid managed to escape, or if he had help from anyone, but the sighting of him across the years do confirm he is on the run.

Despite knowing this much about Lucid, much of the rest of his background is unknown. Information on Lucid is extremely limited and locked up pretty tightly; the only information that’s known to the public is the actions of his crime and his punishment. As such, people down here only really view the side of him that are his actions, but not necessarily the figure himself. Only few know what Lucid is really like, but almost all of them do not speak about him, and if they do, it is mostly in a negative manner.

Lucid remains quite mysterious, and the only real details the public knows about him are the fact that he’s an ancient dream demon stemming over five thousand years old, a former agent to the DPF, one of, if not the most brilliant mind in the dream world, and of course the most wanted man in the dream world. Lucid’s life has become quite tarnished in recent years, but there seems to be very few people who still support him, despite his actions.

Dear Lucid, do you know what Almoral is hiding under his eyepatch?

Hello Syclo. I am pretty sure he is not hiding anything shocking under that eyepatch. If he has not told you already, he had a bad accident in his early necromancing days that led to his eye getting slashed. I am sure he uses an eyepatch since that eye does not function properly anymore, and to hide the scars left behind. Hmm…though, I would lie if I said I was not curious to know what it looks like underneath it. Perhaps he will show us someday.

Dear Lucid, does prejudice exist in the dream world?

Greetings Hay. The notion that prejudice exists in the dream world on the same level as the real world is just nonsense. Human prejudice in the real world is the reason why they lag behind from the advancements achieved down here in the dream world. In the dream world, it is extremely rare to be a victim of prejudice for whatever reason. In fact, most instances derive from humans stuck in the dream world, and believe me, it is seen as complete nonsense. Trust me, none of us care what you are. It is one of the reasons why the dream world views humans as silly little creatures who have yet to learn so much in their own world.

Dear Lucid, do people live in lost dimensions?

Hello Gon. There are indeed people who live in lost dimensions to this day. Lost dimensions become secluded from the rest of the dream world, but people can still navigate to them…if they know where it is. Of course, memories become suppressed and the dream world forgets those memories. When a dimension becomes lost, if there are still people who live in it, they continue to live on. The problem is that those people are essentially stuck there for eternity, and unless the lost dimension has the resources to keep it going, the population of that dimension may cease to exist.

That being said, there are lost dimensions with a decent population to this day. People continue to live on with their lives as if the world around them did not forget about them. Of course, they cannot leave, but they may have the resources to keep going. Take one lost dimension for example: the people there are stuck in a dimension based off of Ancient Japan, but they are able to live on because they have the food and resources to continue farming, building, and maintaining themselves. No one can leave the dimension though, but they live in peace, without fear of outside attacks. Though, this is why I believe that some dimensions should stay lost, because as much as some of us want to visit, perhaps we should just leave them alone.
