ANOTHER YEAR OF BEING THANKFUL

As the holiday season defrosts, citizens of the dream world think about what they are most thankful for this year.
2022 in the dream world was hectic, to say the least, but after many strange events, citizens are still looking forward to the holiday season and sharing what they are thankful for.
Nate: I think what I’m most thankful for this year is having the opportunity to investigate the strange happenings in the dream world with some really cool people! Things are starting to ramp up in the investigation!
Figment: I’m thankful for all the people that happen to stop by and visit me! Yeah it can get lonely, but I appreciate everyone who comes by and says hi!
Telly: Why, this year I’m going to give thanks to the new televisions I have acquired from venturing out in the dream world! They’ll look really good in my home with all my other wonderful televisions!
Cal: I’m mighty thankful that I got cleared from any charges relating to that scam of a pumpkin pie I was tricked into selling! I sure hope they find the man that gave me those sick pumpkins in the first place!
Almoral: I’m so thankful that I got to save the dream world this year with some super cool awesome people!! Who would’ve thought that I, the handsome and amazing Almoral, would save the dream world with his special pie! Hehehe, see? Take that, everyone who ever doubted me!!
Epsilon: I give thanks to everyone who worked hard on trying to stop Neapworm. There’s no doubt that it was definitely difficult, but everything paid off in the end.
Rainier: Huge thanks to all the DDCP workers who helped clear out Neapworm! Now, Christmas won’t be overshadowed by that nasty little worm! It looks to be a joyful holiday!
Cirrus: A big thank you to all my co-workers in the DWPS who worked so hard this year after a rough winter and underwhelming summer. They work around the clock and deserve a lot of gratitude for what they do!
Dylan: If I were to give thanks to something this year, it would probably be to Epsilon. After the events of last summer, I’m just really glad to have someone like him BUT! Don’t tell him I said that hehehe. Why? Duh, because I’ll tell him MYSELF!
Sylveran: Thank you to everyone who’s been out of trouble this year. You make my life’s work much, much, much easier than when I’m having to deal with those who break the rules.
M3-0W: I would like to thank all of the new friends I made this year while Nate and I were investigating all the weird events that occurred. It’s nice to meet all kinds of new people!
Ophelia: I want to give thanks to Nate, M3-0W, Almoral, Porter, and everyone else we talked to while investigating the origins of Neapworm. They all gave in a lot of effort to help stop this disease from spreading, and without them, things would’ve been a lot different now- in a bad way.
Finnegan: Super glad that I’m no longer sick with NEAP-1! Thankful for all of the DDCP workers and doctors who helped me recover. I’m also thankful for Eliazar who covered for me as Acting Leader of the rescue ops team. Isn’t he just a charm~?
As for me, I’m really thankful for all of you guys who read the newspaper! I hope all of my articles are interesting and informative and I hope you will all continue reading on!
DREAM WORLD TO TRANSITION INTO WINTER NEXT WEEK

Next week, the dream world will officially be entering into the winter season, but it’s already being felt.
The Dimension Weather Prediction Service is already noticing gradual drops in temperature in various outdoor dimensions, but not all of them. As the season changes, these subtle changes slowly begin to become more and more noticeable.
“Autumn is almost over, can you believe it?” Cirrus says, “We have one week left of it, but it’s starting to feel colder in some dimensions. Soon, we’re going to start seeing snow more often again!”
When asked when snow will become widespread, Cirrus says that sometime in mid-December.
“Widespread snow precipitation becomes more apparent in mid-December. The first few days of winter will be cold, but still not cold enough for snow,” she explains, “It won’t be until mid-December that temperatures get cold enough for snow in dimensions that aren’t in an everwinter state. Fun stuff!”
The DWPS is already beginning to issue the first Freeze Advisories of the season, particularly for the Beach, which is returning next week.
“While the Beach isn’t here for us yet, our weather sensor stationed there is still picking up data all the time. We’re starting to pick up on falling temperatures that should be enough for it to freeze soon. Expect these advisories to pick up in the coming weeks!” Cirrus says.
With the autumn season ending soon, some autumnal dimensions like the Patch and Fair will also be departing.
“If you’re wanting to make some last minute pumpkin pie, you should visit the Patch ASAP,” Cirrus says, “I don’t eat pumpkins myself, but once autumn is over, so will those seasonal dimensions. But don’t worry! They’ll be back next year during autumn.”
Seasonal winter dimensions will be making an appearance soon like the Skating and Backyard.
“As seasons come and go, so do certain seasonal dimensions! It’s also advised to go visit them when they arrive before they disappear once more. Winter is coming, buckle up!” Cirrus says.
Winter in the dream world will run from December 1 until February 28 of next year. Dream world residents are advised to start bundling up and staying warm once it arrives in full.

Dear Nate, what happens if a dream demon bites someone else?

Hi Issa! The science behind the dream demon bite is a little lengthy, but I will break it down as simply as I can.
Most dream demons develop fangs at a young age. Unlike vampires, however, dream demons do not bite for a quick meal! Dream demon bites are extraordinarily rare, and only account for a very, tiny, miniscule amount of reports in the dream world averaging for only two a year! Dream demons will only bite in self defense, but this is usually their last resort. They will try to fight on their own, should they be threatened and provoked enough, but if they have nothing else to defend themselves with, they will resort to a singular bite.
Don’t be fooled though! While the bite may sting a little at the source, do not mistake it as something as tiny as a dog bite. When dream demons bite, a faint neurotoxin is injected into the subject being bitten. The longer you’re being bitten, the more of this neurotoxin is secreted into yourself. You may not feel anything at first, but should you go to sleep, this is where things get ugly! Such neurotoxins result in very terrible dreams, nightmares, upon the subject.
These nightmares last depending on the length of the bite. A quick bite can result in having 1-2 sleeps consisting of nightmares, while longer bites may have you ending up in weeks or even a month of nightmares nonstop! Such nightmares are not known to last for a month, but in some rare cases, they have been recorded to last up to three months! Imagine having to go to sleep knowing you’ll be tormented all because of a bite...very scary to think about.
This is partly why we are called dream demons, because such bites induce vivid nightmares onto the subject when they go to sleep! But again, bites are very, very rare. I personally have never bitten anyone before, and don’t really intend on doing so. If a dream demon bites another dream demon, it’ll just be really painful since we aren’t able to sleep. Weird, huh?! So just be nice if you encounter a dream demon, because their bites can cause you to be scared of going to sleep leading to insomnia and the like.
Dear Nate, is there an official TV station in the dream world?

Hey Broady! There are many ways to receive information and news in the dream world, including by television.
WDRM is the official television station of the dream world, and they’re on at all hours! Their coverage goes on and on since it always seems like stories are breaking out there. They’ve only been around for sixty years or so, very young!
They have very well-trained and skilled anchors that always provide the most accurate information about what’s going on. They’ll even send out crews to cover breaking news stories, so don’t be caught off guard if you happen to get interviewed by them! I have been interviewed a few times, but I can be quite camera shy! Still, they are very nice and always want to provide the best coverage.
Besides regular news, WDRM will also cover other topics like sports, weather, entertainment, and fun little segments too! Their station is located in the Studio dimension where you can visit if you want a tour, but they prefer that you book an appointment first before coming.
WDRM is not the only television station though, there are other channels and stations, but they are very tiny and offer limited content. WDRM is the official one though, so if you’re looking for the latest breaking story, sports results, weather for tomorrow, celebrity gossip, or looking for a new dimension to go visit, you should tune in to their station! It is on channel 2, and it’s on all day and night!
