DREAM WORLD TRANSITIONS INTO SUMMER SEASON

Summer has officially arrived in the dream world.
On the first day of every three months, the dream world transitions into another season. The Dimension Weather Prediction Service classifies a season as “a three month period with consistent weather patterns such as, but not limited to, temperature and precipitation, that covers 90 percent or more of the dream world.”
The DWPS has divided the four seasons in three month period intervals that begin on the first of the month pertaining to the meteorological season. This means that spring begins on March 1, summer on June 1, autumn on September 1, and winter on December 1. Now that it’s June 1, the DWPS has also released their seasonal weather outlook.
According to their outlook, which was teased last week, this summer is expected to be “near-above average” with a “low” chance for abnormal weather observations. Last summer, it was forecasted to be “average,” but it ended up being “near-below average” after recording data. The DWPS says they’re confident about their forecast this year, though.
“We’ve punched the numbers, looked at our data, and we’re 80 percent confident that our forecast will hold true for this summer,” Cirrus of the DWPS tells me, “With a summer that’s near-above average, there will be more areas of the dream world that will be hotter than normal. Some dimensions will also see more rainfall from thunderstorms than normal. In short, some areas will be hotter and wetter than normal!”
Cirrus clarifies that this won’t be a dream world-wide event, but more dimensions than usual will feel the heat.
“With a near-above average forecast, it still means that everwinter dimensions will remain cold and snowy,” she explains, “However, dimensions that change with the seasons, some of them will be hotter this summer, perhaps wetter too. And lest we forget about a slight uptick in potential tropical cyclone formation- we’ll monitor those too.”
As summer begins today, some dimensions are already starting to feel warmer. Cirrus says that temperatures have been steadily climbing for the last week or so, and will continue to do so in the coming weeks.
“Ahead of an upcoming season, you’ll slowly start seeing changes in temperature in some dimensions,” she says, “Temperatures have been getting warmer in the past week and will likely peak in mid-July when they’ll be at their hottest. Looks like it’s going to be…a hot summer!”
The DWPS will be actively monitoring their weather stations across the dream world for any strange or abnormal changes, but they do not expect anything abnormal to occur. Still, they will record and observe the data and continue forecasting the weather across the dream world. For more information, you can visit their website or visit your local forecasting office.
BEACH RETURNS, POOL SEES UPTICK IN VISITS

The Beach dimension has returned in time for the beginning of summer, but it’s not the only dimension seeing more visitors than usual.
Now that the Beach is back, many residents have taken advantage of it and gone to visit it now that summer has arrived. Many local schools are also starting to go on their annual summer vacation, with families planning trips to the Beach.
While the Beach is popular in the summer, some existing dimensions also see an uptick in visits, including the Pool. The Pool is classified as a “regular” dimension, as it’s always around to visit, but it’s a popular dimension to hang out in during the summer. Many also plan their vacations to the Pool to spend some time there.
“I love coming to the Pool during the summer! There are various pools to choose from, but I like the one that’s outdoors! Feel that sunshine!” a local pool boy tells me.
“I prefer the pool with the lily pads. It’s more calm there and serene. Quite lovely really,” a local tiger man says.
“Pool…meh, I prefer the Beach! So cool to catch some waves or play some volleyball!” a local beachgoer exclaims.
“Beach for sure. I love playing in the sand or just lay down for a bit to take in the air!” a local beach girl says.
The Beach dimension is actually accessible until September. Unlike its usual behavior of coming back every other month, the Beach will disappear once September comes since the dimension is heavily associated with the summer. The Pool, on the other hand, will remain accessible year-round.

Hello Ellumi. Yes, you’ve probably heard of stories of those who leave the dream world and come to the real world to live a different life. It’s true, but keep in mind most of them come to the real world in secret. After all, it is illegal to go to the real world without strict clearance and permission…
Dream worldian residents who go to the real world to live a new life don’t usually do it without some sort of fame. A lot of them have powers, and remember, if you have powers, you’ll be able to use them in the real world- though, discreetly. If you have such powers, you’ll probably use them to your advantage.
Throughout the human ages, there’s been a lot of our residents who become significant in the real world. There’s been those who become famous emperors, writers, artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, scientists, politicians- even those who end up leading a country…
But where there is great power, there is great responsibility- or so an ex-dream world resident once said. Former dream world people are often tasked with challenging human world problems if they reach a high enough status. How can you manage running a country with over 200 million people? What about coming up with a cure for a disease with limited resources? Inventing the next social media platform to take over the internet by storm? There’s a lot of challenges being faced nowadays, and it can be tough as someone hiding their true identity and keeping their powers a secret…
Ultimately, we’ve seen many times that a lot of dream worldian residents cannot take much more of the human world and its responsibilities and devise a plan to get back to the dream world while leaving the life they had left behind. How? Well…let’s just say there are some unorthodox methods to “disappear” from the real world, but…at least they work.
Honestly, I don’t really know why anyone would want to go live another life in the real world. I think the dream world’s already a good place to live. Actually, I shouldn’t say that when I know someone who’s living another life in the real world…and for good reason too. You know what, I guess some people have their own reasons. Who am I to judge?
Dear Epsilon, are queer people accepted in the dream world?

Hello Ellie. I figure you might be new around here and might be queer yourself, but to put it short, yes they are accepted down here.
The dream world recognizes all forms of sexual orientation and gender identity that are listed in the Council's scriptura somnii mundi, which is Latin for "The Scripture of the dream world" or put shortly as "The Scripture." It is an ancient text outlining all the rules and ins and outs of the dream world.
Queer relationships and activities have existed since the beginning of the dream world, so naturally they have become a norm in our society with virtually no frowning upon it. We are very accepting of each other when it comes to this aspect. Just as polyamorous relationships are recognized, same-sex relationships are too. In fact, I have been dating my boyfriend Dylan for the last 76 years or so with little problem.
There are a lot of people here who identify as LGBTQ. I don't have exact numbers, but I'm pretty sure over 75% of the dream world is considered queer. It's not necessarily weird to encounter someone who isn't, but you're more lucky to find someone who is. I know plenty who are like Dylan who is gay, Ophelia who is a lesbian, Nate is both gay and transgender, and of course, I am bisexual.
The real world is much different than the dream world when it comes to this topic. Some live freely while others live in hiding. It's important to know that no matter who tells you what, you are completely valid and worthy of being who you are. No one can tell you how to embark on your journey, as that job is up to you. Take pride in who you are and be proud of the person you are or want to be. Don't let anyone's words get to you- you are you and you are completely accepted and loved, I promise.
