AURORAS TO BE SEEN ACROSS DREAM WORLD

 The dream world is about to witness a very rare event.

Meteorologists at the weather service have been crunching the numbers and looking at data over the past week or so and have confirmed: auroras are expected to be seen across the dream world soon!

While this was a mere rumour for a while, the DWPS has confirmed that they are high probabilities of seeing auroras within the next week or two. It has also been confirmed that the real world was witness to auroras last month, some in peculiar places pretty far south!

With this in mind, dream world residents are looking forward to this event which last occurred in 2001.

"It's not every year that this happens! I'm going to try and find a good spot to view them!" one Apartments resident told me.

"Feels like it was just yesterday when we had the last one," a construction worker said, "Still, it would be a nice way to kick off summer."

"I just hope this one lasts longer," a patrol officer told me, "The last one felt so short. I hope that's not the case this time around."

DWPS meteorologists have been calculating the duration for these auroras and believe, with strong confidence, that these auroras may persist for longer than a week.

"With all of the reports coming in from the Reality event, we think this aurora event in the dream world may persist for more than a week," DWPS senior meteorologist Neige says, "The event in 2001 lasted for less than a week. This time around, we believe it may last longer than a week- perhaps two weeks. We're not sure yet until it actually occurs."

When asked when the auroras will appear, he states that it's difficult to forecast that until just before it occurs.

"We can't really give a specific date or time to when the auroras will appear in the dream world sky," Neige explains, "We are able to predict it right before they're expected to show up, but honestly they'll just manifest in the sky before we even get a chance to make an announcement."

Neige compares the appearance of auroras as a surprise.

"Think of it like a surprise. You don't really know when it'll happen and it may happen at the moment you least expect it," he says, "In any case, just keep an eye to the sky. We'll have our eyes open to the sky as well in case we spot any sign of imminent manifestation."

UNCERTAINTY REMAINS IN THE SUMMER SEASON FORECAST

Summer has officially kicked off in the dream world, but there remains uncertainty in how it'll play out this year.

The Dimension Weather Prediction Service has issued their latest seasonal outlook calling for a "Near-above average" summer season. They acknowledge that some dimensions may be hotter than other dimensions, but also state that some dimensions may also see less rain.

The most jarring part of the outlook came with the mention of the real world, which according to the report, has been reporting "highly unusual" record breaking warm temperatures. Typically, real world events are not considered for predictions in a seasonal outlook. However, multiple reports coming in from the real world have concerned DWPS meteorologists.

"The reports we are receiving are concerning and that makes this forecast more uncertain," senior meteorologist Cirrus says, "It could just be an ordinary summer, an underwhelming summer like in 2022, or a pretty extraordinary summer like the one we had last year. The news from the real world makes it even trickier to really know how this summer will play out."

Cirrus explains that summer is typically a hot season, but some dimensions and areas of the dream world will get hotter than normal. In addition, some dimensions may see less rain which the DWPS attributes to ongoing real world reports.

"With this forecast, if it holds, sporadic areas of the dream world will be hotter than normal. It won't be a majority like it was last year," she explains, "Rain may be observed less than normal too with this forecast. Again, this is only if the current forecast outlook actually holds, but we can't promise anything."

Cirrus says to stay updated with the DWPS for the latest summer weather information.

"This summer may be a bit unpredictable than normal, but stay with the DWPS," she says, "We'll be monitoring weather conditions all summer. It's important to stay informed!"

Dear Lucid, is it possible to ever reach the edge of the dream world?

Greetings Enn. Many have attempted to reach the "edge" of the dream world before but all have failed. The thing is, the dream world is a large plane that seems to go on forever, and that may be true.

I have a theory that the dream world is constantly expanding, therefor, it may never be possible to reach the "edge" of the dream world. Of course, this is only a theory of mine. I will have to study it more further when I am able to so I can determine if it is true.

Dear Lucid, does getting older make you sadder?

Greetings Anne. I am not sure if you are asking about me in particular or people in general. For people in general, it depends on various factors. Becoming lonely and isolated can contribute to feeling sad in your older years. 

As for me, it can be sad to get older. While I am not immortal, living a long life in itself can bring forth events that I must confront. I have made many great friends, but I have had to see many come and go. While some pass, I continue to live, and they become a memory to me. I miss a lot of old friends, but I especially miss my parents.

Dear Lucid, are you able to manipulate your surroundings like in a lucid dream?

Greetings Lou. One of the abilities that I am able to do is to "simulate" an environment around me or others that makes it appear as if in a dream. Perhaps we are chatting at a table and then the environment around us slowly changes without either of us moving a finger. It may appear as if we are on top of a mountain, but do not worry, it is merely a hallucination.

Being able to do such a thing has seemingly come in handy when trying to evade the authorities. One second they are after me and the next, they are chasing after an imaginary mannequin the entire time. It leaves them quite confused. On lighter occasions, I might use it for entertainment with friends to relax and forget about the dilemmas of the world...

Dear Lucid, what's the easiest type of portal to open?

Hello Tel. There are many kinds of portals that you can make believe it or not. There are those that you can make out of doors, those out of wood planks, rift portals, but the easiest type of portal to make is one from a box.

As long as you know the basics of how to make a teleportation portal, a box is the easiest way to actually make that portal. I am pretty sure you have seen box portals throughout the dream world and wondered why they might be so common. Box portals are easy to make if you know the basics; however, as with any portal, you do need authorization from the DPF to utilize it. Box portals do have some limitations though, such as the fact that they cannot be used to teleport to incredibly vast distances nor can you teleport to other worlds. For that, you will need a rift portal to do that, and well, I know first hand.

Greetings Orry. I was born well over five thousand years ago in the Asia ward of the District dimension. Because of where and when I was born, I am considered Persian. 

Did you know, the District back then was much more different than it is in modern times? I have not been to the District in nearly one hundred years, and I assume it is much more advanced now.

Dear Lucid, have you ever thought about having a family in the future?

Greetings Pham. My life now is filled with other things to be concerned about to really focus on a family. Granted, it is hard enough realizing that neither my mother or father are around to witness their own child start their own family. I have thought about it, but the circumstances now force me to abandon that prospect for now.

If I ever did have a family, I think I would be content with having two children. It does not matter to me whether they are two girls, two boys, or one girl and one boy. I would be content in any situation. Only the future knows what is in store for me in terms of familial matters. I can only "dream" of what it would be like to be a parent. At the end of the day, I know my father and mother would be proud of me by then.
