DFPS TO PROVIDE GUIDED TOURS THROUGH THE WILDERNESS
By: Roman
The Dimension Forest and Parks Service has announced that the agency is moving forward with their plan to promote the outdoors this summer.
According to the initial announcement, the DFPS is looking to have guided tours across different areas of the dream world wilderness. These tours will serve small groups at a time, but will span over the course of a few days.
"We believe that this will be an excellent opportunity to show the public that hiking and partaking in nature is a pleasant pastime," DFPS chief Ahwi said in the statement, "The wilderness may seem dull or frightening to explore, but there is much to take in when going out into it."
The guided tours will be different from the ones that the Dimension Guided Tour Association provides. The DGTA can only give tours within dimensions of the dream world. The tours the DFPS plans to give are exclusive to the wilderness of the dream world.
"We have over 200 park and forest rangers available to assist at any time when visiting a forest or park," chief Ahwi said, "A select few will be assigned to provide these tours. It will consist of an experienced ranger with at least five years of experience and another rookie ranger to accompany them."
DFPS chief Ahwi says that the tours will only be a few participants at a time and will likely take place over the course of three to five days.
"Guided tours will consist of around five people plus the two rangers assigned to that tour," the chief explained, "It will be a several day event with rangers personally guiding participants through different areas of the wilderness. Think of it like a camping expedition. It's honestly that."
The DFPS will provide additional information soon, including a signup sheet for any willing participants. Be sure to visit their website for the latest updates.
SUMMER TEMPERATURES HOLDING STEADY FOR NOW
By: Oswald
Temperatures across the dream world have remained steady for the past two weeks- for now.
Summer is expected to peak this month with meteorologists from the weather service having anticipated "unusually" hot temperatures for this time of the season. However, across the dream world, weather stations have been reporting average summer conditions.
"We were anticipating for temperatures to get quite warm once July rolled in, but we haven't seen that yet," DWPS meteorologist Neige said, "Don’t get me wrong, it is indeed warm across the general dream world, but it’s nowhere near as hot as it was last year.”
Despite the seemingly good news about temperatures, Neige says that there is still a chance for warmer than normal temperatures later on in the month.
“Summer is looking pretty average as of now, but don’t let your guard down just yet,” he said, “Our forecast models show a chance of it getting pretty warm in the coming weeks or so. It’s kind of a coin toss at this point as to whether or not a general heat wave affects the dream world.”
The Dimension Disease Control and Protection agency has been monitoring for any spike in heat related illnesses, but reports have also been steady.
“At the DDCP, we also monitor for heat related illnesses across the dream world,” Chiaki, a head virologist at the DDCP explained, “However, things are looking generally good. We haven’t gotten an overwhelming amount of reports regarding this matter.”
She then goes on to explain that regardless of temperatures, it’s important to stay hydrated and cool in the summer.
“Drinking a lot of water and staying cool are key for preventing heat induced illnesses like heat stroke and exhaustion,” she said, “As it may get warmer, you’ll want to have water bottles nearby and some form of way to cool yourself. We want everyone to be safe this summer!”
While July appears average for the summer season so far, it’s unknown how the rest of the season will play out through the rest of the month and going into August.
“August is still too far to make any safe forecast,” Niege explained, “For now, we’ll be monitoring the near-future for any changes in the general weather across the dream world.”

Q/A: Ask Nate
Dear Nate, can humans be stuck in a time period?
By: Furoh Zen
Hiya Furoh! That’s an interesting question to ask! Humans who get stuck or decide to voluntarily remain in the dream world do eventually adapt to the society of the dream world, however, some do not necessarily progress with the time period.
You see, some humans who enter the dream world don’t want to stay up to date with the current times. From the research that’s been done and available, this “new world” for them is a huge shock to them. Because of this, it appears that they wish to remain how they are from when they first entered the dream world. This is actually a phenomenon that the DDCP has given the name of “Time Advancement Rejection Syndrome” or TARS for short.
It’s labeled as a psychological condition that primarily affects humans who reject the notion that time is passing for them in the dream world but at a slower rate than in the real world. For them, they remain “stuck” in the same time period from when they first came here. For example, a human could remain dressed, speak and behave as they did in the 1960’s. They may conform to some degree to the modern time period, but they’ll mostly be “stuck” in a past time period.
According to the DDCP, this is a rare condition that only affects about 4 percent of all humans in the dream world. There are humans “stuck” in time periods as old as the ancient Greek times to as recent as the 2000’s! TARS isn’t a condition that really affects their day-to-day lives in a negative way, but when you think about it, you can really learn a lot about a certain time period from them. It would be nice to sit down and ask them a lot of questions about human life in their time period…that would make for a great interview!
Dear Nate, since you’re a dream demon, is it possible for you to be sealed away?
By: Cecil Edway
Hi Cecil! Oh boy, this question is very interesting. Well, being a dream demon, I do fall under the demon category, which means I am subject to many things that any normal demon could face. One of those things is a seal!
Sealing a demon prevents them from ever wandering around the dream world again, and keeps them locked up in their own little dimension that is separated from the dream world. It’s not a place you can visit though. Think of it like a jail cell; you’re cooped up in a room all by yourself with no access to the outside world, plus you are quite isolated from society! Sealed demons are inaccessible, and put into a slumber state. Kind of ironic since being a dream demon means I do not sleep!
It’s possible to seal me away, but why would you want to do that?! Sealing away a demon isn’t easy anyway. There’d have to be a special ritual to seal them away for good, but it takes time to gather the materials needed. The only thing is that all demons can be sealed away with common methods. This means that, unlike summoning, you can recite and perform the same sealing ritual with me as you could with another demon like Lucid, per se. But I don’t want that!
A demon can be unsealed simply by performing their summoning ritual. But again, every demon has their own conditions to summon them. I hope this answers your question, and please, do not seal me away...I wish to stay here, thank you very much!
