COUNT ANASTASIUS’ HALLOWEEN BASH TAKES PLACE

The Club dimension is ready for a grand bash.

Over the past week, construction workers and party preparations have been taking place. Count Anastasius has been planning to hold his famed Halloween party in the Club this year, and things are finally ready to go.

Count Anastasius has opened up the invitation to everyone and anyone from all walks of life to join in on the fun. Various partygoers have been spotted arriving at the Club ahead of time. While a large crowd is expected, the Count says that there should be enough food and drinks to last all night.

“We are expecting a lot of people to come attend this party, but rest assured, we have enough food and drinks to accommodate such a crowd,” Anastasius said, “We have a variety of food and drink choices depending on a person’s taste. We got you covered.”

We talked with some partygoers and many say they are excited.

“I’m excited to be here! It’s been so long since the last party!” Hazel, a witch, told me, “Anastasius always knew how to throw great parties! I can’t wait to dance with others!”

“Anastasius is a good friend of mine and I trust this party will be grand as the others,” Jiangshi, a zombie, told me, “I helped out with much of the planning and I think everything will be a success.”

“I’m happy to go along as I’ve usually done, but also a little nervous,” Beth, a doll person said, “I just hope nothing bad happens. We’ve had two Halloweens ruined so I’m hoping things are okay this year.”

Anastasius says that everyone’s allowed to attend, but looks forward to see many partygoers in costume.

“You can come, but it would be much better if you came in costume,” the vampire said, “Let us have some fun today. It’s Halloween after all and we must partake in it as best as we can. I look forward to seeing unique and amusing costumes.”

Count Anastasius’ Halloween bash takes place for one day only. The Club will then be temporarily closed to clean up the party and should reopen by November 3.

SPIRITS PREPARE TO MAKE VISIT TO REAL WORLD

While Halloween festivities are ongoing, spirits of the dream world are preparing to make a large pilgrimage to the real world.

Human spirits who reside in the dream world are allowed to visit the real world whenever they want and without consequences, unlike their native dream world counterparts. However, it’s not until Halloween and the first two days of November when a massive influx of spirits visit the real world.

Halloween is well known for dressing up, collecting candy, watching scary movies, attending parties and the like, but the tradition itself has larger roots in celebrating the dead. The “Halloween Spirit” is at its strongest and most active on Halloween night, but its power extends to November 1 and 2 as well. In this period, human spirits take advantage of this power to visit family and loved ones in the real world, though some also use it as a time to simply visit.

“So many humans put up decorations and such on Halloween, but spirits really love this!” Almoral, a local necromancer tells me, “This power they receive is unique and as tradition subconsciously allows for the celebration of death, spirits are basically the stars of Halloween! It’s about them, not us!”

Many spirits reside in the Quartier Fantôme, a hidden region in the dream world that is not easy to get to. This is where human spirits arrive upon their death in the real world and where most call home. It is on Halloween and the two days after it when they are most powerful and use this power to go back home.

“Halloween is really interesting because that’s when spirits love going back home to see their families, friends, or just see what’s going on up there!” Almoral explained, “They’re allowed to do so anytime, but there’s just something super duper magical about doing it on Halloween and on the Day of the Dead!”

Experts expect the Quartier Fantôme to have less spiritual activity in the next few days as many spirits leave to visit the real world.

“If you REALLY want to visit the Quartier Fantôme but want to avoid the traffic and such, the best time to do so is about now!” Almoral said, “Though, it’s not easy to get to, BUT I know of a way to get there! It’s such a beautiful place to go visit when you can!”

The DPF says that spirit sightings in the dream world may increase in these next few days, but advise travelers to not disturb spirits as they make their way to the real world. Disturbing spirits can anger them, so they recommend leaving them be, unless they need assistance.

Would you go trick-or-treating or give out candy?

Dylan: Trick-or-treat of course!!!

Ophelia: Give out candy as I have been doing for the last 60 years or so.

Finnegan: Other years I’d say give out candy, but this year is different, so trick-or-treating!

Eliazar: I have to go trick-or-treating anyway because of my son so I’ll go with that.

Kodia: Trick-or-treating because I don’t think anyone’s too old to do so!

Daiki: Considering my age, I am too old to go out for candy. I would prefer to give it out.

Kamaria: I would give out candy to passersby, at least, the good candy, you know?

Vivienne: Trick-or-treating because getting to surprise people at their doors is the real treat!

Matías: I am too old to trick-or-treat, so I must resort to giving out candy if I could.

Lucid: I would love to give candy out, but I am afraid that my sweet tooth implores me to go out and collect candy…

Do you prefer non-scary or scary movie Halloween movies?

Nate: Non-scary! I can’t watch scary movies on my own unless I’m with company!

Figment: I pick scary movies! The Backrooms has shown me to not be scared of anything!

Telly: Scary movies! I mean, I can put one right now on my screen!

Epsilon: I personally pick non-scary movies. I know Dylan will pick scary movies, but he won’t be able to sleep at night.

Cal: There ain’t nothing out there that scares me! Put on the horror flick!

Almoral: Another question I have to pick?? This is so unfair! Well, I guess…non-scary! No, I changed my mind- it’s scary all the way! But then again… Wait! Wait! I’ll have an answer-

Porter: I watch non-scary movies just because I don’t really like horror…hehe.

Rainier: Uh, non-scary of course! I can’t stand scary films! Too much for someone like me!

Cirrus: I prefer non-scary movies, but a horror movie now and then wouldn’t be bad.

Dylan: Scary movies!! Trust me, those are way better on Halloween!

Nate: Probably not, I mean, I’m a dream demon! I don’t know what else to dress up as!

Figment: I’m kind of already in costume, hehe.

Telly: I would wear a costume of the worst invention yet…a computer!

Epsilon: Yes, but it’s typically up to Dylan as he’s the one who picks the matching outfit.

Cal: I ain’t need a costume! Do ya see me? I’m practically in it!

Almoral: OH! This one is easy! I’d totally wear a costume!! I’ve been told a pirate costume would fit me, and you know, they’re on to something!!

Porter: Definitely! I’d wear a Sherlock Holmes costume if I could!

Rainier: Maybe not because it’d be hard to fit anything on with these antlers!

Cirrus: I think I’d just stay like this!

Dylan: Yes and it’s whatever I pick for me and Epsilon to match and wear!!

Ophelia: Yes, and I’d probably dress as a musical artist.

Finnegan: I’d just go as myself, but if the time and occasion came to match with someone, then yes!

Eliazar: I’d pass, but unless little Benji’s outfit requires someone to match, then I’d be happy to do so.

Kodia: Definitely! I want to dress up as a ghost! A spooky ghost forest ranger! OooOOooO!

Daiki: I will have to pass on this.

Kamaria: Personally, I wouldn’t.

Vivienne: Yes of course! I would dress up as a butterfly!

Matías: I would dress up, but maybe something casual? Maybe as a skeleton biker or something like that.

Lucid: Ah, well, I suppose I could dress up. You never are too old to do so, after all. My costume would likely be… I will go with a ninja. I do already resemble one, in a way.
